hi everybody!
I'm trying to plan a budget trip to Universal, and want to be able to bring the dog. I know the on-site hotels allow this, but I'm trying to make this a budget trip!
Have any of you stayed off-site with your pet? If yes, please share details...where did you stay, how was the hotel, what did you do with your pet while there?

I'd like to be semi-close to Universal so I can come back mid-day, and will have a car, so transportation isn't an issue.

Thanks in advance!

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Orlando South with our beagle & I highly recommend it. The rooms were VERY clean, location was safe, & they didn't charge any extra $$$ for our dog. They also have a free breakfast (hot waffles, boiled eggs, bagels, & more). We only stayed there for 1 night, but I'd definitely stay again in the future. great! thanks very much. I was looking at some budget hotels over the weekend, and they were very affordable, but had terrible reviews on tripadvisor. I appreciate a dis'ers opinion! (and I really like the part about no extra charge for the pet!)

I always do the same thing! It's frusterating when you find a place that looks great in the pics & has an awesome rate, but then you search for feedback & only see rotten reviews. That's when I'm like, "Back to the drawing board! No roaches or bed bugs for me!" Good luck in your search! I did call them after I made our ressie online just to make sure that they added "pet" to our reservations. We had no problems at all & the people at their front desk were really helpful.

exactly! I stopped reading when I got to the one review that said " i wouldn't let my child sit down".........that was too much for me!

thanks for the feedback! :thumbsup2
