Hi there!
My parents are going away to Spain for their 25th anniversary in January 2010 leaving my two sisters (Diana & Anais) and myself at home. We're planning our own mini vacation to Disneyland for January 6th - 8th.

Does anyone have any experience with pet friendly hotels near Disneyland?
Any experience with the Disneyland kennels?

Thank you!

Anaheim Plaza allows pets, only in smoking rooms and they do have an additional fee. The kennel at DLR is not a kennel per se, it's more a bunch of crates that your pup stays in, you will need to make frequent visits to take her out to potty, play and perhaps eat. I would really suggest seeing if you could find someone to watch her for you, or find an actual kennel nearby that you can board her in. For our trips we alternate, we have a very good family friend who will be staying at our place on our next 3 trips. We do pay her for her time but really it's a treat for her to get out of her house so she really likes doing it for us. :)

When you take your puppy to the kennel, make sure to bring a small bed (or it's own bed) and blankies and toys. The kennel boxes are just boxes and they're hard plastic. It won't be very comfy for your doggie without a bed or something for her to lay on.

Embassy suites takes pets. I have never stayed there however my grandmother has many times (she has 2 toy poodles) and I have seen pictures from visites there and it looks very nice! They also serve a complete free breakfast made to order which she said is very yummy!
I do know that if you stay there you will have to ride their shuttle to DL.

The Sheraton Anaheim takes pets too. We brought our (55 lbs.) dog over the summer. The hotel charges $25 for the entire stay. They provide you with a dog bed, water bowl and place mat, and a doggie goody bag. They also allow your dog to ride with you on the bus to Disneyland so you can leave him/her at the kennel. (A couple of times, though, we walked to DL just to get our dog some exercise and it only took 15 minutes.) There are lots of grassy areas around the hotel for you to walk your dog as well. It is a very pet friendly hotel.

There is a pet hotel that is near by, in Garden Grove. Just make sure to have your pets updated on the shots that will be needed in order to board them, if you might decide to do that instead.

I have at least one link or had on the subject in my bookmarks, and a post in this forum somewhere. When I find them, I will post them.

OK here it is: official pethotels.com

And here is another link: anaheimocpetfriendlyhotels

The Anaheim Red Lion Hotel on Harbor at Katella is a very pet friendly hotel. :)
