Person who does not knoe Africa is continent...almost VP!!!

Mine was a typo....ask the mccain campaign for the link...it did not come from me, it came from FOX NEWS

I've seen the bit from Fox News. But it doesn't say WHAT she said. I want to know the quote and the context. Frankly, I don't believe that Sarah Palin thinks that Africa is a country. I think someone is twisting a slip of the tongue.

People make stupid mistakes. You have proven that yourself.

But gmboy's not the 'future of the Republican Party' and for all of our sakes I certainly hope Governor Palin isn't either.

Typo my friend...but you can call me stupid if you want......I firmly believe that she has no idea Africa is a continent, I think we are hearing from staffers that where appalled by her appointment and the position they where put in. The Couric interviews where frightening....But if your political leanings want to make you believe she is qualified, by all means support her....Please let me know if my grammar is correct...

Obama is a columbia grad and a Harvard law school grad, and the president of the harvard law review. As well as a constitutional scholar at the university of chicago.....I think I will go with him against the five schools one degree governor!!

My husband's ex-wife went to Columbia and President Bush went to Yale. I hear alot of people calling him an idiot - and the ex-wife definitely is. Your point? I know some extremely well educated people who are complete and total idiots. A degree from a school does not always mean intelligence.

Michelle

What must it be like to be so consumed by so much hatred and intolerance? Such a sad existence. :sad2:

If that bothers you then you must be completely disgusted and horrified that our president elect thinks there are 57 states and that Japan dropped a nuclear bomb on Pearl Harbor
If you feel Palin is an embarrassment, why aren't you embarrassed by Obama?
Must be that good old liberal double standard once again

Ha! I forgot he said those things!! So true, a double standard! Why is it that Obama only mispoke yet Palin has air between her ears? That is just childish hate towards Palin.

Do you really care what she spent on her clothes? Seriously? So she spent 130,000 or possibly 160,000. So what? It's part of the campaign image. Obama raised over 650 million, and that was after agreeing to only raise 84 million. Hmmmmm and we complain about 130,000 for her???? Her clothes are pennies compared to what he spent on his campaign. But I guess the double standard applies here as well. Geesh!

My point is that a person who took five schools to get A degree, would not get an interview at my company...Well you have to have a masters to work in my company, she has yet to enroll.

If you are seriously trying to argue that Obama and palin are on the same planet intellectually...well, I just don't know what to say

I have to admit that I'm fairly well educated but would have to think about the countries that are in North America. Sure, I can quickly name the three NAFTA countries, but depending on your source, North America includes the countries of Central America, which is not a continent of it's own (though even those that include Central America differ on the dividing line between North and South America); Greenland; and parts of the Carribean. And no one ever remembers to include St. Pierre and Miquelon.

If the questioner was using some non three country definition of North America, I could easily see Palin's confusion. However, they (the questioner) then just says that Palin doesn't know the countries in North America and everyone assumes that she cannot name the three NAFTA countries.

Not a Palin fan, but could easily see how things could be twisted.

Of course, it is also possible that she doesn't know the three NAFTA countries.

Once again this was from FOX NEWS Carl Cameron...it was his report, his sources.....something tells me fox news has good mccain campaign sources

I do not care if it came from FOX news or not! Why would that matter? Fox news is not the be all end all for me. I do not listen to Rush and people like him.

McCain's staff ran a very poor campaign and now they are blaming her to keep the focus off themselves. Obama's campaign was run brilliantly. They do not want to talk about those differences so they are throwing Sara Palin under the bus.

They do not want her to run in 2012 (which is fine by me, I do not care) and they want to blame her for the loss. There is plenty of blame to go around all the way up to John McCain. They lost and now we're moving on.

I swear if somebody brings this up tomorrow at work I'll shave their head. :headache: It totally pisses me off. It makes me mad that they'd say all that about her and it makes me mad that y'all believe everything damn thing you hear about her. Yet, we're supposed to see through the bad Obama stuff. :confused3

I'm willing to see through it and move on. But obviously Sara Palin is such a threat to McCain's campaign staff and people here (that or she is so much fun to rag on) that people can't move on. Let's forget about the both of them and move forward...united. It is what this country needs.

Excellent go with that.....I just figured out it would be perfect for you guys to throw you support behind Palin!!....it can only help give Obama 4 more years.

And that may be the reason for the "leak" of this info to the press. McCain's campaign may have been pressured to pick Palin by some higher up in the Party...to pander to the far right base. Perhaps the leak is to send the message that there is such thing as "too far to the right" to be a viable candidate, and to encourage he Party Powerful to seek out a more moderate person for 2012. McCain will be out of the picture, since he lost this time, and Palin may have been the heir apparent in the eyes of he party. I hope this leak does accomplish the goal of helping to return the Republican Party to what it used to be, before Reagan. A party that stood for fiscal conservatism, with fairly liberal policies on social issues.

Dont blame me IT WAS FOX NEWS THAT SAID IT!!!!!

Nobody's blaming you for anything. :confused3

And Fox News didn't say it. They reported (as has every other news outlet) that McCain aids have said it.

So you did not believe any of this william ayers stuff, or this jeremiah wright stuff, or this socialist stuff, or this marxist stuff, or this khalidi stuff, or this muslim stuff, or this pals around with terrorist stuff, or this terrorist fist bump stuff, or this citizenship stuff, or this.............

Also FWIW, I did vote for McCain but Palin's lack of experience concerned me greatly. What do we have to do to get Condoleezza Rice to run for president?

:scared: :scared: :scared:

CARL CAMERON reported this on Bill Orielly.....any other news source pigg-backed off that.....clearly this came from the mccain campaign, and to dismiss it is to not understand the sheer cynicism in the pick to begin with

I find it amazing that a person who did not know Africa was a country, and did not know the countries in North America was so close to the second most important job in the world.

It was also revealed today that Palin spent an extra $30,000 on a campaign credit card on additional clothing.\

All of this info provided to FOX NEWS by Mccain campaign officials.

This is the women you all feel is a front runner in 2012......She is an embarrassment.

Might want to check yourself on a couple of points.

1. It's a continent, not a country. I find your error amazing...

2. It's a media report, spoken off the record, and clealry represents sour grapes.

3. It's been denied by everyone willing to go on record, so what's the truth? Same with the duds....

Wow maybe there are some honorable people in the mccain campaign that where horrified by this terrible pick, and are blowing the whistle in order to protect all from the re-packaging of this clearly inferior politician
