does each member of dvc need an annual pass to use the perks or can one person have annual pass and others have like 5 day tickets? or does one annual pass cover everyone living in the same household?

Most AP perks are good for a few people, but it does vary from perk to perk. IMO the best AP perk is the ability to purchase the DDE (Dining Experience) card, which is good for up to 10 people at almost all Disney operated lounges, table service and buffet restaurants as well as counter service at the value resorts and Animal Kingdom.

If you will be returning to WDW within a year, the AP is probably your better deal, as a fully loaded 5 day PH is about $70 less than a standard AP with DVC discount.

You seem to be talking about different kinds of perks. Some perks are specific to DVC, and some are specific to APs. The DDE card is specific to APs, so to get that perk, one person must have an AP. Some restaurants offer discounts to DVC members, so no AP needed for that discount. DVC also has many perks that happen to be the same as the AP perks, like discounts on mini golf etc. The DVC golf discount is just available to members. It looks to me from your post like you are thinking specifically about the DDE card, and that you DO need an AP for. One thing I don't understand though...Since you are a member and probably plan to return yearly, why would you not get the APs for everyone in your household? We usually skew our trips by a week or two so we can get another trip in on an AP.

ok maybe I didn't get my question written well, if I buy AP is it just good for me to use, like if myself and 2 of mu kids set down to eat and I have AP can anyone else get the 20% of the bill if it is just one bill? and I am assuming a family of four needs four AP's to enter the park, like one ap isn't good for everyone in your family to enter the park under?

An Annual Pass is good for only one person for entry into a theme park. If you dine at a restaurant that gives an AP or DVC discount, usually all the guests dining with you (on one bill) will get the discount. If someone pays for their own meal and is not included on the bill of the AP holder or DVC member, they will probably not get the discount.

All members of your party will need their own ticket to enter the park.

Not true , obviously everyone over 2 need a ticket but my family has had 1 AP and 3 reg tickets to use the AP for a room discount. BUT you might not have been meaning in this way so I'll be quiet now :teeth:
