Perimenopause Ladies a question

I WISH I was through menopause . I don't think I am even in perimenopause yet and I am mid-40's. My luck I won't go through menopause until I am 80.

You and me both. I'm 54 and I'm seeing no signs of letting up. In fact, I still have dreams of gettin pregnant and having babies.

I'm 48 and having menopause symptoms, and I'm also on an AD.. I have fabulous and entertaining dreams! I dream that I am going to a party, and I open up this huge closet full of fabulous colorful clothes. Or that I am a teen again and someone is desperately in love with me!
they are so entertaining that I love going to sleep at night!

I'm the same way, now that i'm off the dreadful Effexor. I dream about going camping all the time (I'm a huge camping enthusiast), going to big buffets with all kinds of lovely desserts and carbie stuff , and traveling across a great big map of the world--I've been to Wyoming, West Virginia, England and Antarctica in my dreams. Every night is Movie Night.

I'm the same way, now that i'm off the dreadful Effexor. OMG was I cracking up at some of the dreams you ladies have described! My most recent vivid dream was that I had to use the restroom really bad and I was going EVERYWHERE and could not find one! I was standing in this guy's apartment saying how bad I had to go and he never said "the bathroom is down the hall" or anything like that..and I couldn't understand why. But I woke up and ran to the bathroom in real life pretty quickly, let me just say....
I have had some extremely intense dreams as well as hot flashes, but not many. I guess I am a little bit lucky. I think I'm almost to the end!

I am a vivid dreamer. So is my mom, my sister, and my dd's. We always have been.

I will be 46 in 18 more days!!!

How about this? I skipped my fun last month, so either I am pregnant or having my first menopause thing happening.

DH has been fixed btw....however he never went back for that recheck.

Anyway, I refuse to take a pregnancy test until my birthday.

On the red wine nights I dream about Diet Coke but I can never get one!

Oh No! That happened to my best friend she thought she was in menopause for 3 months before she found out she was pregnant ! You have an advantage thought her DH wasn't 'fixed'.

I had a partial hysterectomy 8 years ago when I was 34- quite young. I just got the worst part of menopause but still expereince the wild dreams. Some of them have me sitting straight up in bed and some of them seem so real. One night I jumped out of bed and grabbed my handgun (I keep one for my job), my hubby told me this. So now I keep it locked in the gun safe I have trouble sleeping at night still, this sometimes gets to me when I have to get up early in the morning. I was on a anti-depressant for awhile but am off it now. Now the doctor tells me to take 2 tylenol pms for sleep at night- they have been working quite well.

OMG, I have that dream all the time. I'm usually at some kind of swanky spa and I have to go to the bathroom. Except in *my* dream I find the toilet and I sit way down in it like I'm sitting in a bucket and sometimes...oops! Good thing I have a very understanding husband. At first I was horrified, but after awhile it just got kinda funny. I'm always looking for food and bathrooms And campsites

Chemo forced me into a premature menopause starting 5 years ago. The dreams are less frequent now. I wish the hot flashes were too!

I am on a patch called Vivelle for my hot flashes. It works great. I put it on twice a week and I don't have a single hot flash. I am also 50. Don't have too many vivid dreams, but my mood swings are horrendous. I had a partial hysterectomy at 40. Plus in the past year I have put on 10 pounds. I am already on an antidepressant, and it helps most days. I am going to talk to my Dr on the 17th to see what he recommends.

I'm on the same patch. My OB/GYN has lowered my dose last year, and I see him next week, and I am hoping to lower to the smallest doseage. I wear my batch on my stomache or back. It is the only place it will stay on decent. But my nurse practitioner told me, the hormone estrogen is in Vivelle and it tends to store fat in your stomache, and you gain weight. I used to wear it on my arms and both arms I gained an inch in each. I have lost 20 lbs, after working out and exercising almost 6 days a week, and cutting soda, fried foods. I still need to loose a lot more.

Dreams-I just started to notice them the last couple of weeks. I'm waking up 2 or 3 times a nite and I thought I am not sleeping very good, and this is why I am remembering my dreams. I am always trying to pack for WDW and just can't get it done. I'm leaving for WDW next month. Maybe I should pack and that dream would stop.

I started peri around 37/38 and let me tell you--- I am LOVING being over and done with all that nonsense every month!

I can relate. My last period was at age 40yo....BEST THING EVER!!

OP...my "perimenopause" lasted less than 6 months, & I didn't have any unusual dreams.

I too have lapsed into perimenopause. I am 43 and I have not had a period in a year. About a year ago, they were becoming sporadic and lighter. I had my yearly exam and she did an ultrasound as I was have an issue with an ovarian cyst (which had resolved) and she tested me to see if I was beginning menopause and yep I was. My vitamin D level was also very low. I now take D3 daily and my hair loss has greatly improved (never thought I had a vitamin deficiency causing it).

I have not had any weird dreams, but about 6 months ago I started having hot flashes which only last a minute or so. If this is all that happens I am good, but I am sure there is more to come

Last nights dream was a lion. He was in the yard of my Aunt & Uncle's house a frequent dream setting from my childhood. I was trying to get across the yard from the Garage my Uncle owned to the house and the male lion was after me. Finally I scruffed the female lion and held her between me and the male Can you tell I foster kittens !
People & animals kept comming into the house to get away from the lion, lots of cats, all kinds of dogs, a minature horse, another exoctic cat who looked like a super size version on my Bengel, and had my maiden lastly the Geico Gecko !

OK last night was a doozy. We have two labs, a yellow and a black and a little terrier. In my dream, the yellow lab was running and playing but instead of our black lab, she was chasing a black pot belly pig! Maybe that means Belle needs to go on a diet! Then there was another white pot belly pig except this was was a paraplegic in a motorized wheel chair! Good grief, who needs to do drugs, we have our own hallucinogenic hormones!

WOW, what AD are you on, can u say or PM me? I was considering taking at one time. Also was considering trying bioidentical hormones, anyone on them? I've been heavier then lighter now and skipped a couple periods. I never thought my dreams may be from the perimenopause. Mine consist of like another poster stated, needing to do something really important, then finding out that it's too late and then something really bad will happen. They get so bad sometimes I wake up screaming. My poor DH!
