We have two boys, almost 9 and 13. Did we have a perfect day at Coco Cay? Yes!

We had the Key and had the chance to get off the boat a little ahead of everyone else, at 8:00. We met in On Air and were escorted in front on the line. This gave us plenty of time to grab a quick breakfast.

We reserved a water park cabana. In our room, we had a ticket and 6 wristbands. We also had a letter explaining that 6 towels would be provided in the cabana, 6 bottles of water, and which cabana we were assigned. When we got to water park entrance, someone escorted us to the cabana concierge, who walked us to our spot. We met our awesome attendant for the day. She explained how to work safe, and how to push a button when we needed anything. We also met the cabana manger who told us to let us know if we needed anything.

My boys quickly disappeared to ride the water slides. Everyone we met was very nice and told us to ride the big slides before the lines got long. By 10:30, they had done all the slides. We ordered lunch and drinks. The food was very good and my boys at lunch twice and had a snack!

When the lines got really long, we ventured out to the beach. By the time we got back around 1, the water park started to clear out. The boys had so much fun doing whatever they wanted!

Did I think it was worth the $470 I paid when we only had 4 in our party? Absolutely!! I’ve been to many water parks and this was really is great if your kids are old enough to ride everything. Both of my boys said this was definitely a perfect day!

We’ve been to Castaway Cay and this beats it hands down!!

Which ship were you on?

We have booked The Key for our cruise. Thanks for confirming that we can get off the ship earlier on Perfect Day.

Glad you had a Great Day at the Cay!!

Double Dipping or just one day with your cruise? Have a BLAST!!! party:

$470 seems cheap compared to the prices I've seen in the cruise planner.

Thanks for the review!

After your review I went and checked it out for jan12 cruise on the harmony. It works out to about 660$ for us with exchange but considering it. Could you say what the shade area was like fir the rest of the island? Looking at pictures it doesn’t look like a lot of umbrellas and covered areas. Being pasty Canadians we’d like a spot to get our two little ones out of the sun from time to time.
Our kids are 5 and 7. Our 5 year old may be tall enough for all all the rides and she is fearless so hopefully they will partake in all the slide.
The cabana looks like a pretty good option and it’d be nice to have a dedicated spot. We’d rather have the beach one but at 1400$ for us that’s a little crazy.

Mine is down to $299 for the waterpark cabana (Mariner April 2020). There's only three of us, and I wasn't planning on doing the waterpark anyhow. But if my whole family (6 of us) were doing the cruise, I definitely would book it. I would love having an area to hang out and be waited on while everyone else was on the slide! Thanks for the review.

JUST the beginning of more to come, I hope. Thinking we probably will not go DCL again UNLESS a great deal appears.

Well, I already have the 6 nights coming in January and I booked a girl's trip on the Mariner again (with a WDW pre-cruise stay) at the end of December 2020. I sure hope I'm going to like them... But I have a very good feeling.

Would love more details on the water park cabana! We had a chill island for our ill fated September 1 Harmony sailing and I just cannot stomach paying $1,000 for our re-do in May. We have 4 adults and I'm concerned about the seating area. It looks like a couch that will seat 2 of us (we are big people - lol!) and two loungers outside the shaded area, but in the pictures I only saw one chair and it looks plastic and uncomfortable. Can you tell me if there is truly room for 6 inside the shaded area?

Also, the food service - did your hostess actually take your order and get your food? Are there restrooms close by? You said you are assigned a cabana, correct? No more picking the one you want. I hope we are assigned near the wave pool. Don't know why I think it might be a little quieter than the ones over by the slides. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the review. Sounds like a great experience. Was the Cabana located where you could see your kids at the waterpark? Or near the wave pool? Or near the big pool. Trying to figure out how he logistics.

That sounds like a very good price considering it came with 6 wristbands.

Question on the cabana and passes. It says to just chose one person from my reservation so does that mean we would get 4 tickets plus the cabana for the day or is it just one ticket plus the cabana?

My understanding is that you will get the 6 tickets that come with the cabana. We are only 4 and I am trying to decide what to do with our extra tickets if we keep the cabana. The jury is still out! :)

Thank you, for the cruise I booked it is $299.00 so it might be worth it
