In my super early planning stages, I am trying to decide on the perfect restaurant for dinner on our first night. We are going to try to get to our resort in the a.m.(driving) and then hit maybe a water park for a few hours, then an early dinner and early bed for MK rope drop the next day. I was going back and forth with CMs but DSD says she would rather have that later in the week.

I would just get a quick service dinner at your restaurant since you want to be up early the next day.

Usually when you go to a restaurant for dinner you end up spending a hour there then you spend up spending more time at teh resort you at and you get back to your rom late.

If you really want to do a sit down then maybe something at your resort.

I would also suggest eating at your resort, that way you wouldn't have to use a ticket to get into a park for only part of the day. Do you know which resort you are staying at yet?

Our first night tradition consists of having a picnic on the Poly beach with sandwiches & Dole Whips from Captain Cook's. We stay and watch Wishes and the Electric Water Parade from the beach, and then head home for a good night's sleep. :)

We always go to DTD on our first night. Last year we tried something different and went to 1900 Park Fare. It was our granddaughter's 1st trip and I wanted to do something special for her. That was probably the best 1st night we've ever had!

Even DS (15) , DSIL, and DH had a good time there. The stepsisters were very funny and entertaining. The food was good and although it was far from a quiet restaurant, it was easy to enjoy our meal and relax a little on that first evening.

We are doing the Hoop De Do Revue at 5:00 on out first night. It is also our Anniversary.

My youngest DD was just opposite...she begged for CM's the first night and on the first call to ADR we scored..:cool1: .....arrive in Orlando around noon and dinner with Mickey at 5:10 pm pixiedust:

We are going to Chef Mickeys for dinner on our first night. Maybe we will catch Wishes from 4th floor at the Contemporary or take the monorail to poly or GF and watch them from the beach.
