What exectly is the pepper market?
Is it sit down or counter service?
I read abot it on all ears & I am still confused.
Is it a buffet?

Also any reviews will be helpful.

TIA

It's kind of both a sit down and a buffet (a buffdown!):lmao:

When you are seated the host will give each person a ticket, you go to one of the many food stations (mexican, chinese, italian, american) and order from there. The server stamps your ticket with what you ordered. Drinks (beer, wine, etc.) are brought to you and soft drinks are self serve. Once you've finished your meal you pay as you leave. Simple!

It's not really a buffet because you don't serve yourself the food, but it's not table service because you're not served your order by a waiter or waitress..... so it's a buffdown! :rotfl2:

PS: The food here is excellent, try the Prime Rib special :thumbsup2 !

think of a buffet with multiple stations. One station makes burritoes, one hamburgers, one salads..on MARGARITAS!!! Chicken, chinease...ect ect

It is very good and worth even a seperate trip for a nice $10 lunch or dinner.

It has different 'stations' you can go to. You can go here to read about the different foods available at the different stations, and how it works.

It can be a little confusing at first because things aren't laid out in an orderly fashion. It doesn't take long to get the hang of things I thought, but at first I was looking aorund thinking OMG, where do I go? LOL

We ended up loving it overall (we were on the dining plan) but there were a couple times I got a little frustrated because it seems we waited a long time for service in some areas. And it could be organized better.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Almost gave myself a nasal enema when I read that, lol.

It is set up like an open air market. You are seated by a host/hostess, a server comes by to get your drink market and give you a 'ticket'. You go to the various stations, hand them your ticket, get your food and ticket and resturn to your table. At all of the stations it will list the food prices so you won't be shocked when you check out if you go a little crazy picking foods.

We really like it and love the variety that it gives.

Dh and I didn't find it worth a second visit.

Food: OK, nothing special

Experience: I just got tired of being told what to do.

I was nicely taken to my table (plus).
I was given a check off paper, and sent off to order my food. (minus).
Ordered my food, cook told me to go sit down and come back in 10 minutes. (minus).
Came back in 10 minutes, had to wait in line while overworked cook finished other orders. (minus)
Sat down, ate food, was sent to cash register, where they charged me an extra 10%...guess I wasn't a good enough waitress....LOL (minus)

Some folks don't mind the whole jumping bean-up, down, up, down at all. Me? I like to sit down, and relax.

Yeah, if we hadn't been on the dining plan we would have been way more careful in our choices. I can see where serious sticker shock would set in!

thank you
I am really looking foward to eating therein Dec.
We are staying at CSR

Summer '07 we stayed at CSR and had most lunches that week at Pepper market. When you compare it to some of the other food court options of other resorts, we found it to be closer to Sit Down quality and variety at "food court" prices. Summer '08 we'll be staying at another resort, but will likely take one day to run over to the Pepper Market for lunch.

What did you get for $10? Last time we went there lunch for 4 people was like $90!

Granted, my dad got confused and ended up with 2 entrees (he thought the salad was a side salad but was actually a full dinner salad). The food was good, but too pricey if you're not on the meal plan - in our opinion.

OK!!

i LOVED pepper market.

portions were HUGE (i could NEVER finish what i had)
TONS of choices (sandwiches, soupd, pasta, steak, asian, mexican, bakery!!!!)

yeah the set up is "different" but after the 1st time you "get" the system & then its easy...the good thing...you are seated rather than running around to get a table & then you just go to the counter of the meal of choice ...the waiter brings you your drinks...it was ALL good!!

we were gonna eat at WL, but they had a burger, chicken sandwich & salad & that was about it...so we headed out to PM!!!

We will be staying at CS in July and plan to utilize the PM quite a bit. I've reviewed the menu and don't see sides like veggies and such. Are they available?

i got a baked potatoe at the one station & i think you could get whatever veggie it was for the day.....or do you mean more like cold veggies for salad??

I was thinking more like hot veggie sides. The menu on allears lists the entrees but that's it.
