Pepper Market on Dining plan?

Food is good. If you're not staying there and don't have a car I'm not so sure it's worth it.

Desserts are limited to Tier one; basically cookies, muffins and some danish. All entrées including the steak are included. The included entrées surpass most other CS restaurants. They don't give extras, if the entrée you're ordering doesn't include a side than you don't get one a la carte.

We are considering staying there, or at least trying to find the time to check out the resort for next time! I figure if we are going to go check it out we may as well go at lunch time and try out the food court! Is the tip included in the dining plan?

Yes, CSR's Pepper Market is included as a CS on the Dining Plan. You can get any entree, including the rib-eye steak worth $18.99. Although they have a great assortment of desserts, as a previous poster said, you are limited to a cookie, danish or muffin on the dining plan. However, you can have any non-alcoholic beverage on the plan, including their smoothies For a CS, the portions are huge, and the food is good. I think people who are disappointed in Pepper Market are those who rate it as more of a TS, or who are paying oop. If you compare it to a CS, this is one of the best on property. It is more expensive than most CS's, but if you are on the dining plan, it doesn't matter, and the food, IMO, is better. The "service" you pay a tip for (which again, is included in the dining plan) is lacking in comparison to a TS, but this isn't a TS. Of course, perhaps there should not be a tip, then, as there really isn't wait staff as much as a person who gets you a drink, unless you get it yourself, and a person who buses your table. I guess that is why the tip charged is only 10%, but I think I wouldn't like to pay it oop myself. Of course, we were on the dining plan, so it didn't matter since it didn't cost me anything. If you are paying oop, you can take your food to go to avoid the tip, or, if you don't think the service was worth it, you can tell the cashier to get a manager, and the manager will take it off for you.

Summation: Pepper Market is a good CS if you are on the dining plan. If not, share meals, and you will get better bang for your buck. The food and variety beats most CS's in WDW hands down. But these are just my opinions!

Sorry I can't answer the dining question but as far as the food goes, we loved the Pepper Market.

There are a variety of things from Pizza, Fajitas, Pasta, Sandwiches and so on. We can honestly say that we didn't have a bad meal and in fact ate there two times more than planned.

I was nervous because I read a lot of negative things about it but we were pleasantly surprised!

I agree with hockeybabe...

Last time I was at WDW w/ my mom and aunt, we went over to the Pepper Market for the first time and thought it was great! Huge food portions, and a pretty good selection. (My mom and I each had our own entree and didn't even come close to finishing either!) We did have meal vouchers which was one reason I liked it - we didn't need to worry about tips or gratuities or anything.

DH and I are going on February and I made sure to include a trip to the CSR so we could eat the Pepper Market. This time we are on the dining plan so, again, everything will be included.

I don't think I would eat there OOP though because of the extra tips and stuff for the wait staff that essentially brings your drinks and that's it. But if you are on a meal plan I would definitely recommend it!!!

We ate there this December on the meal palan. In fact we ate there twice.

The grill selections are there for you and if someone does not like the roasted peppers,onions, and squash they serve as the vegetable you can get a special stamp that says no vege or something like that and get a side vege from another area.

My dad can not eat peppers so he got an order of stir fried vegetables stir from the booth next to the grill. He said they were great with his steak and potato.

You are limited on desserts but the cookies and brownies are fine, just not fabulous like some of the other "special" desserts on desplay.

On the second trip my daughter wanted a pizza like thing and she was permitted to get a side salad with it and dessert. The cashier had a special paper that described the Dining Expereince meal plan choices in great detail and we followed her advice since she was the one checking us out.

I never thought of getting a smoothie. I bet that was good. I will have to try that next time.
