I have a Pentax K2000 and the lense that it came with does not zoom well at all, I am going on vacation to disneyworld in Novemeber and i wanted to get a lense that can zoom in pretty good does anyone know what lense i should be looking to get? If possible one that isnt too expensive

When you say it doesn't zoom well, what does that mean and also which lens is it? If its the 18-55, Pentax has at least four versions so please be specific. If there was a problem with the lens it might help to know which one you are dealing with. If it just doesn't have enough reach then there are two lenses I would recommend if you don't mind switching lenses. The Pentax 50-200 ($249.95) or the 55-300 ($359.95). There are many who suggest that the 55-300 is superior to the 50-200. I must have a very good copy of the 50-200 because I have been satisfied with the images it produces. It is compact and lightweight. Neither are fast lenses and could possibly struggle with low light and will not work on the dark rides. The K2000 has a max of 3200 ISO, but I don't know how much of that is really usable ISO. If you don't want to change lenses, then I would recommend the Pentax 18-135 f3.5-5.6 ($459.95). It would have similar issues with the low light. I hope this useful. If not ask more questions.

Another option, if you want more reach without switching lenses, would be Sigma's 18-250mm lens. It's not light at just about 1 1/2 pounds but it is convenient. B&H has it for $429 right now. The macro version isn't out yet, but it'll be $550 when it ships.
