I can only hope and assume the new movie ends as ridiculously as the book and the the tv movie did. The second half of the the tv movie was so laughable it almost made me forget how positively terrifying the first half was. Stephen King's strong suit has never been his endings.

...I've seen the old movie and the first one of the newer set - but neither recently, and I am not googling the pics at night to make a decision between the two.

OK, in the light of day, I Googled. I think the new one is creepier. For me, I think it's the lines down his face that make the difference.

I know Tim Curry (my love) is the original Pennywise so he doesn't scare me as much.
