Since everyone had done a great job with checking in early, I am going to post the Topic of the month. You may start to mail out your cards from now till the send by date of Sunday Feb. 13.

Please remember to post here once you have sent out your card, received them, and don't forget to check in weekly. If you will be away during the swap period, please pm me with the dates you will be away for, and let me know if someone will be able to pick up your letter/mailing if your pen pal sends something to you while you are away.

The Topic of the Month for Feb. is -
Preform a R.A.K.-(Random Act of Kindness) for someone you know, or a complete stranger. Tell your pen pal about the R.A.K. that you had done, and how it made you feel.

R.A.K.s-Can be the simpliest of things that you just don't think about, but automatically do for someone, to something that is special that you had done to make someone feel special. Some examples are-While standing in a checkout line, letting the person in the back of you go ahead of you since they only have two items, and you have a whole cart full of things. Holding the door open for other customers, giving a homeless person food, helping your neighbor clean their yard, ...... the list can go, on and on.


And just as a reminder of what the Twist of the Month is-
Send your pen pal a Friendship Valentines card. It can be either store bought or handmade. Write your letter/Topic of the Month in the card, and send.

Thank you Monica. I do as well. Sometimes people are just to busy to think or do things for others. But, something little can go a long way,or even make somes day.

Agreed! I try and do the things that Patsy mentioned as often as possible but its always nice to go the extra mile and do something especially nice for someone. I think I have an idea in mind

Yes I made them, and yours will be mailed off tomorrow. It is of something that my daughter, and I like. And of a theme that we had for two of her birthday parties.

Yay I can't wait to see! I will probably go out today, if not tomorrow, to find my cards. We got 7 inches of snow here yesterday so we'll see how well everything is plowed

I like the topic! Very different and it makes someone happy too! I think I have mine already. Something I did today actually. Good deal.
