looks great!!! but,,,you need to add the best picture of that whole trip to the cover!!! the picture of you and Erin walking hand in hand in Epcot! :goodvibes

I know...I just was playing with pix and was anxious to get the cover finished....:confused3

Oh, can you imagine??? That would be a hoot -- only not because I would be injured.

Sounds like I have a new weekend project! :lmao:

Somehow I keep imagining some AKL inspired necklace choker type thing. You know the kind that goes in rows and rows...

Or a hula skirt.

Which brings to mind that dress someone wore a million years ago to the Oscars made out of Gold Amex cards.

Oh wait...how about a kilt? Jordy could wear a kilt. The rest are too girly....unless you are an Aborigine

I really should have food with my wine.

Jordo....

Here I am in the middle of my Post-Disney Trip Depression (PDTD) and I find out that Winkers will be in Disney at the same time as you... It's like my mother ship is calling me home... :worship:

Now I am trying to figure out which kid I can get the most money for... :rolleyes1

I know PDTD all too well!

I can't believe my luck that Winkers and I will be there at the same time.....although I don't know how much I'll see them since they're without kids...:rolleyes1

Good point... Can you imagine the things we could chant outside their window though... :rotfl:

Chapter 33. Did I really do that?

I am NOT one who likes change. I go to WDW for vacation almost every year. I buy Toyotas. I like Dr Pepper. I order the same thing at restaurants.
It is no different when it comes to booking travel. I almost always fly Delta. I have a few good friends who work for Delta and I have never had issues with them so why change? I was just biding my time until fares decided to come down. I also almost always fly the red-eye.....

That is until Winkers pointed out the Southwest fare of 223.00. Airfares for any major airline are not likely to get below 300.00 total w/o bag fees. So a R/T airfare is probably going to cost me about 330-350 including bag fees. This 223 fare has a plane change in vegas and gets me into MCO at 11:30pm on FRIDAY, not Saturday morning, meaning I'd have to add a night at Pop basically just to sleep. The return flight leaves MCO at 2:35pm on Thursday the 18th. I lose that whole day basically that was originally planned for the parks.....the Delta flight left at 6:50pm which gave me until about 3:00pm in the parks.....Doesn't sound like I went for this great fare does it?

Guess again! It's booked and paid for!!!! I can't believe I did it!!!!!

Here are the reasons why I decided to bite the bullet and do it:

1) The flights leave from Orange County airport. SNA is about 15-20 minutes from my home. It's a much smaller airport and easier to get in and out of. Security lines, etc tend to be much shorter as well.
2) I am saving about 120.00
3) Even though I'm adding a night at Pop, I'm still saving money from the 5/2 deal and...
4) Because I'm losing that last departure day in the parks, I can add a park day back somewhere else. So, I'm probably NOT going to book the Backstage Magic Tour and use that for a park day. As a result, I am saving the 200.00 that I would've spent on the Tour.

So lost is that last day in the parks and an extra night at Pop for a bed to rest my head on for about 100.00.

Gained is about 440.00 saved by making all the changes....:thumbsup2

It'll be interesting how this plays out in February.......

So Airfare Roulette is now over for me...now Wendy and gang have to book as well as Kim and Allan.

We love SWA- we have never had a problem. We used United to go to California in 2007, but only b/c Paul had racked up enough miles for 2 free flights! He uses United and SWA with work and we have benefitted from that more than a couple vacations.

Anyway- I think your travel itinerary, look great! How luck you are to stay so long!!

Congrats on booking the airfare. I am not great at change either. I think you made a good choice. May have to look into it myself.

Oh, this thread is getting funny again! Maybe everyone is waking up from their Summer time stupors? :goodvibes

Hey, I've jumped out of a plane. I have plenty of adventure. Dung is not my idea of adventure.

I remember at summer camp we used to have cow pie fights! That was adventure! Ahhhh, the things pre-pubescent kids will do to attract attention....

:lmao:

Good point... Can you imagine the things we could chant outside their window though... :rotfl:

:lmao: OMG! You guys crack me up.

Alas...I (personally) do not have nearly enough cards to fashion anything.

Except maybe a checkbook cover.

But, hey, you could use that new check book cover while transacting business that would produce yet more cards. :rolleyes1
