Longtime lurker here! I've read all of your TRs and am enjoying this PTR quite a lot...you have a wonderful sense of humor and I look forward to each installment.

I bow to your trip planning skills and may be asking for help as my trips get closer! DH and myself used to be DL crazies, going upwards of 14 times in a year even though we lived 6-7 hours away at the time. We haven't been to DL (at the time it was only DL, not DLR!) since our honeymoon in '98 and are looking at planning a trip for 2010 or 2011 (with 2 kids now!). We'd also like to take a trip to WDW in 2012 or 2013, and soooo much has changed since our last trip in 2000 that I wouldn't even know where to start planning!

Oh, and I'm yet another Oregonian...have lived in Eugene for over 8 years and love it! Oregon is such a beautiful part of the country!

OMGosh, no it was my mom that ripped my wallpaper down..anyway she was staying in town (with my sister) about a month ago and while she was gone someone robbed her house!! They took EVERYTHING..well anything of any value..4 plasma big screens, her wedding set (she is a widow), and all the other jewelry in her standing jewelry box. Worst part is her home owners insurance had just lapsed...so nothing was covered So she is a mess and refuses to leave her house in fear "they" come back to get the rest of her stuff. I feel so bad for her. She had a security alarm but they cut the wires.-BUMMER!!

Its a shame your not going to WDW when we are- we always seem to miss each other by just a short time. that sucks!

How awful. I feel bad for your mom. I hear how people really feel violated when they are robbed so I can understand your mom's anxiety.

My parents JUST updated their insurance. Hearing your mom's story, I'm so glad they did.

I know we keep missing each other!

There's a group of us going in June 2012 for my 50th birthday. Think about joining in....

Chapter 19. A little Travel Aisle Love. PTR update and some initial game details

Travel Aisle Love
So I am going to church camp next week. You know what that means? A little trip to Target!!!!

I have this thing about the Travel Aisle.....

I get there and about keel over with excitement:

Excuse the hole in my shorts that happen to be in a strategic place....

Here I am with a few of my purchases. I think I look a little unhinged in the picture...I'm a little TOO happy....

Who, may you ask, took the pictures of me? My roommate, Leo. He was just shaking his head. This scenario is very similar to the pix I took with the Binder at the grocery store 2 years ago!

It's really an adventure trying to get the pictures taken w/o people looking at you and calling security. Target has security cameras everywhere..I wonder what they were thinking in the control room.....

PTR Update
I just shot off another email to the guys asking if they were coming. No response as of yet. We'll see. Their lack of response is making me think that they are probably not gonna come. We'll see though, I've been wrong before.

I'm putting the finishing touches on Itinerary Draft number 4...which leads me to the last item:

Game Details
It would be unfair to say details as Wendy and I are still trying to work something out that will be easy to manage on her end, but still allow as many people to participate as possible.

But here are the initial game details:

You are going to guess what I'm doing each day of vacation. You will also be guessing where I'll be eating. You will get points for every right answer. There will also be a daily bonus question or two that will garner points. There will be a winner each day, but only a final grand prize given for the overall winner.

For instance, on Day one of the contest you would do something like this:

Day one-Saturday, February 6th
What park am I going to during the day?
Where am I eating lunch?
Where am I going to dinner?
What park am I going to in the evening?

The bonus questions might be:

ESPN scheduled? yes or no?
EMH scheduled? yes or no?

More in depth info will be out in a few days. We already have the prize picked out and it will be something everyone can use and something everyone will want. I will post some info that will help you out, but alot of the information is in this PTR and my last TR...like what restaurants I like, which park is my favorite, whether I like waterparks or not...but I will help you out!

I, too, was looking for new items..They seem to have different mouthwashes..FYI..Advanced Listerine...whatever that mean...
