Congrats on your trip. It's nice to have that amt. of time-really very nice of you to take those Disney newbies under your wing...they will obviously be learning/experiencing Disney with the help of a master...

And speaking of nice...Wendy is a very nice cousin indeed...everyone should have a cousin Wendy...

I loved your photos of your trip to China...-I love different cultures & learning about them...I STILL want to go to China only I kind of want to go on the kind of trip where you would get the Adventures by Disney Chinese Experience (touristy I know-but I'm totally ok with that)-(btw-I don't think they'll be asking you for any of your pictures-at least not many of them for their brochures...). We can't fathom eating dog because we keep them as pets...I'll bet the Chinese don't or at least not as much-so they don't have the same taboo against eating them...ok having said that I still not open minded enough to eat one...I've had pet dogs all my life...where is all the cute dim sum-or is that regional...maybe just in Hong Kong....

Anyway- If you do a 2012 birthday trip during a Star Wars weekend-I'd be in...

BTW-if you live in Orange Country-do you visit Disney Land Resort? (I've heard some Californians don't like California Adventure-but with all the changes they have planned for it-it sounds like it'll be an awesome park...)

Looking forward to more of the madness...

BTW-they let you work with the youth group???

On another PTR..joy13's I think...a great PTR by the way, she mentioned meeting her husband at McDs then 2-3 others mentioned they also met their husbands at McD's. I'll try anything these days....so I've been to McD's 2x in the last few days...

this reminds me of the horror on Ethan's face after his first big boy physical yesterday

I love DL and DCA. I love DCA because it reminds me of WDW believe it or not....I would go more often, but I had an AP for years and never really made good use of it.

I lived in the Bay Area for years about 30 minutes south of SF....it's a great area to live in.....

OK - A friend of mine got back from the World a few weeks ago. She had twenty somethings, older adults and children with her. She used the QS plan and loved it. She said the DDP would have been too expensive and the kids would have trouble sitting for TS meals. She said it was just easier for them. Everybody could get what they wanted from anywhere they wanted.

Your friend's comments mirror what Wendy and I talked about today. Wendy said with 3 kids now that sitting for an entire TS meal might be hard to manage or just not as relaxing. She is talking with Derek to see what his thoughts are.

Chapter 16. Spin, Wheel, Spin....

First of all, we've reached the mid to upper 80s here in SoCal. It's very warm. Our house is not well insulated which mean our house bakes every day and then takes until about midnight or 1am to cool down.

I have 2 of the 3 fans on right now as we do not have Central Air.

I'm more of a cool weather person. I like my temps to be between 40-65.

I'm sweating up a storm right now and it's 11:40pm..

Anyhow.

Are there more Cast of Character Changes afloat?

I feel like we're playing roulette sometimes we have so many changes to the people coming.....

Okay so first we had the family of 7 coming, then not coming

Then, Wendy's Mom and Dad were coming, then not coming.

So today I went with one of the guys who's coming in Feb to the movies. We went to see Up in 3-D. It was my first time seeing it. I shoulda gone with women so I could've cried more freely. There were several times when I coulda been sobbing.....I LOVED the movie...Russell cracked me up. Doug? Dug? cracked me up too....

Anyway. I mentioned to him that we should be making our first payment at the end of August. He then responds not by saying he can't go, but by saying he's having a hard time saving money and that he's had to dip into his savings for other things. He never outright says he can't go. It made me go hmmmm....

I have a feeling come next month when it's time to commit, he'll back out. I'm not sure though. So let's take a vote.

Vote for #1 if you think he's going to come up with the cash and go

Vote for #2 if you think he's going to bail on the trip

Since he and the other guy are friends, I'm now beginning to wonder if guy #2 is also going to back out. Wendy and I discussed the ramifications if neither of them decided to come. I could then feasibly stay with Wendy and gang if it was only me. There would be 8 of us in the 2 bedroom that sleeps 9. We also discussed the sleeping arrangements, but most likely I would have to sleep on the sleeper sofa. I wouldn't totally be against the sleeper sofa, but prefer a real bed. IF neither of my friends come along, I will probably stay on my own at Pop. I would have a bit more privacy and more down time I think.

So let's spin the wheel once again and see how everything turns out.....put your vote in....

Everyone I talked to including myself, has cried during UP. My cousin took his two kids, who live with their mother to see it. He said after he dropped them off at home he cried like a baby in the car.

I could see you sweating in your photos!!! Lay some damp washcloths over yourself, and turn the fan on high!!

I loved up!! I can't remember the last disney movie that I loved this much....probably Nemo or Lilo & Stitch.
I cried so much I was near the "ugly cry" stage, which is a real pain with those 3d glasses on.
