Chapter 52. A taco for Turkey Day.

Only in So Cal on a sunny, 80 degree day can you justify having a taco on Thanksgiving. However, that's what I did. As most of you know, I've been working alot lately. I woke up this morning after sleeping 10 hours and felt a bit achy. Truthfully, I think it was my body responding to a month of abuse. It simply needs rest. So instead of driving 2 hours each way to my relatives home, I chose to stay home and have Del Taco for Thanksgiving. I've pretty much watched football, slept, watched more football, ate dessert, slept. I think that'll be on my agenda for tomorrow as well...

Here's what my roommate caught me doing a few days ago after i came home from work. I just randomly fall asleep wherever:

Trip details

So I received an email yesterday. Wendy and Derek pulled the trigger and bought their airline tickets. Almost 2K for all 5 of them to fly! I guess they decided not to use their Starwood points. Derek explained that it take alot to build up that many points and they would be using their ALL of their points to fly. They didn't want to do that so they just bit the bullet and bought.

We all have our air now and I can solidify plans for everyone.

I completely sympathize with you on the taco thing. Mom and I ended up having Huddle House (like Waffle House) take-out because it was literally!! the only thing open. I must say though..they do make a good patty melt

I love that you had a taco for Thanksgiving. I had chicken. Not quite as awesome as a taco though.

Sometimes you just need the rest instead of driving all over. I love my family dearly but we decided to stay home this year too. With me having to work tomorrow it's a lot of driving to do in one day.

We always have lasagna at my familys get-together for Christmas. If they even attempt to make ham, turkey, or anything like that. I freak!!!! I want my spinach lasagna made by my mom, my own homemade lasagna, my uncles italian sausage lasagna, and even my grandmoms stouffer's lasagna because she gave me her recipe to do her homemade one!!

It really isn't bad for fast food...

Italian food is my 2nd favorite type of food. It all sounds so good right now.

Leaving tomorrow around 10ish driving 1/2 way...then will be on Disney property sometime mid-Saturday ...prob going to resort hop or go to DTD....head to the parks on Sunday yay: MY BIRTHDAY!! ) stay for the week and head home on Saturday!

Will be lots of fun....I've never been on my b-day and am really looking forward to it

I've eaten there 4-5 times and have yet to have a bad meal there. Of course, I get the cobb salad most of the time, but I've had filet mignon and something else as well....

I don't think it's worth 2 TS credits, but worth OOP probably for lunch...you may like it, you may not.

I remember when ABC commissary got horrible reviews. I used love 2 or 3 items there and didn't listen to the reviews. They have since changed the menu and they don't have the things I used to get

Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice. Apparently Kouzzina has gotten some bad reviews. I still want to try it.

Del taco is usually my fast food of choice.

I slept on and off all day. I plan I'm going to stay with tomorrow and Saturday as well.

I bet you can relate. It jacks up the price of vacation significantly.

We used to always get a fast food early lunch on Thanksgiving Day. Got us out of the house and a little break from the chaos. That's always a good thing!



Yikes 2 grand on tix. Glad you had the money to do that, and not have to use the points, Wendy!

Itinerary looks good, though, I"ll admit, you have quite a bit more hang out at the resort time than I would have. But all you've been through these last weeks/months, you are going to need it!! HA! By the time I'm done, my trip may end up looking a lot more like yours!
