PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

I may be kicked out of the OCD disney planner's club...but I'm not booking our Feb flights untill the first week of January.:scared1:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Cool!!! We're in the same boat (and we literally may be if boats are the only affordable means of transport left after we've waited so long... ha ha :boat: :rotfl:)

Let's hope for some dramatic price drop in fares because today I just noticed that our point cost went up for the flights too (which I guess is expected, since it's based on the underlying cost of the flight)... so now I am really hoping for flights to go down, or we'll be converting more points than we thought... which I'm not sure we're willing to do.

Decisions, decisions....   :faint:

I'd be freaking out......

I would be freaking out too but in this situation it seems like waiting a while longer may be the best option. :confused3 We were thinking about flying for the first time this trip but the prices are just too stupid right now. Plus it would be another $600 to rent a car!!! :scared1: The way we tour the parks, we are dependent on a car. I don't see the bus system working for us. It was nice when it was just me and DH but now we have to go back for naps, etc. I just can't see having to wait for a bus.

I've been hearing not so good things about the Clarks.....:confused3

While they are nice to look at, the quality just isn't there,at least IMO. I've owned a few pairs over the years, (I always buy them on sale) and while they are bought mostly for the cute factor I would never buy them for comfort or expect them to be around for the long haul. :sad2: I don't buy clarks for my only shoe, I buy them to go with the outfit of my mood, along with other shoes. ;)
I will say this....they fair better than a lot of shoes out there, but you certainly won't get out of them what you've gotten out of your Merrells. There are to many other shoes out there that will offer you what your looking for (comfort for long distance walking and longevity), but I wouldn't make Clarks it...I think you'll be very disappointed and will be either returning them or having to buy a new pair much quicker than you anticipated. Stick with Merrells or some other shoe that you know will give you the comfort factor.

Hi all... just an update on our non-plans for our flights... ha ha ha. Shockingly, DH is ok with "waiting a while longer" to see what flight prices do

Keep you posted on any happenings... :thumbsup2

I'm stressing out for y'all! :scared: I'll keep my fingers crossed! :thumbsup2
By the way Cherie, we would never kick you out for those reasons, we like you to much.

:rotfl: Your most welcome my faithful subject. :wizard:
Since I have enough physical issues that need to be looked after, I have to know what kinds of shoes will do what to my body if I wear them. Clarks will throw my back all out of wack for a week or so, but sometimes the outfit warrants it. ;)

While I don't need specific shoes because of health reasons, I do like a shoe with arch support.

I guess I made myself sound more physically challenged than I thought. :rotfl:
Sorry.
I have back issues and very high arches, so I totally know what you mean about needing arch support. :)

Chapter 51. Going solo Jordan style.

As you know, I've been a bit up in the air about whether or not to do the DxDP for the solo portion of the trip. I am definitely excited about the choices:

Boma dinner
CA Grill
Brown Derby
Flying Fish
Sanaa
Jiko
Boma-Breakfast

I've received many opinions about whether to do the DxDP or not. Both arguments have been compelling and I've flipped flopped a lot over the last week, but I finally made a decision about what to do dining wise the last 4 days.

I am NOT doing the DxDP.

Here are the reasons:

1) I want to eat the Brown Derby and I want to have the Cobb Salad which is what I always get. However, for lunch it's like 15.00. As a 2TS credit on the DxDP, I just couldn't see the value of using 2 TS credits for a meal that will probably cost about 30 dollars.

2) I needed one meal to be a breakfast meal and at the end of the day, I just don't see myself getting up early. I scheduled Boma for 7:30am on the morning I leave...okay you can stop laughing now.

3) On my last full day I wanted the flexibility of being able to go all out commando and hit all 4 parks or just lay by the pool and read a book (maybe I'll read Twilight:rolleyes1:rolleyes1). I just didn't want to have to be tied to an ADR.

Boma

I may decide to add an ADR for Wednesday, but I'll do that once I'm there. What are the chances of getting into Le Cellier the day of.....
