And yet another example of the weirdness of mine and Jordan's relationship. Peas in a pod = me & J. Jordan was the first person I told about my engagement when Derek proposed - there was a telephone in the bathroom of the restaurant we went to right after it happened and so of course I called Jordan from there. Ha ha.

But I'm pretty sure I told Derek too (about the Commando thing).



Mine too (MIL = softie). Erin is like a heat-seeking missile and can immediately detect the weakest link in the room and hone in on them to do her bidding. Once she took the hand of one of my friends, led her into the hallway and told her to wait there, and then just promptly left her there. Ha ha ha. But my in-laws are slowly becoming more strict because they're becoming more aware of her wily ways... ha ha ha. So we're all getting better about disciplining her. But we do have to indulge the grandparents whenever they want to exercise their grandparent privilege and spoil them now and then. But they're all getting better about not going overboard with that too.

OMG!! Too funny! We have to discipline the MIL almost as much as we discipline DD8. MIL is the only person she gets away with this for. I have to tell my MIL to NOT let her get away with that. That she is 8 years old and doesn't need to have a different b/fast than everyone else, or that she doesn't need to have her hair brushed perfectly every day-she can do it herself now(besides, MIL BRUSHES her hair and it is curly, so she comes home with frizzy hair!!). I know she enjoys what she does for her and DD10 too, but DD8 comes back from there more rotten than ever. She straightens out well at home though b/c we don't put up with that cr-- ......

Your right though, there is a LOT to say for grandparent time. I am sooo appreciative my kids can have that time with her. I am hoping to spoil my grandkids worse than ever!! By that time, i hope to have DVC!!

I think this thread is still moving pretty fast, not as fast as usual but still fast. Instead of logging on and having 10 pages to read I only have 5. Much easier to catch up on.

Does anyone need a kleenex?

And we've all been there -- wanting to grow up fast and then suddenly wanting to slam on the brakes of life. My best friend and mine's theme song in high school was "Life is a Highway." Now, I wish there was a song called, "Life is the School Zone." Side note: we joke that we know we are getting old when our theme song becomes a Disney song (I about died when I heard Life is a Highway in Cars).

I am past the kleenex point -- I need cucumbers and concealer for my eyes.

I read in some magazine that models use Preparation H to bring down the swelling. I'm not sure if that works or if I'd want to use that on my face

BTW, did you know there was a book called Flat Stanley? Yup, he's flat. It's a children's book I happened to find at B&N. Is that where you got the idea?

And when you have to finish your TR in Part 3, I won't say I told you so.

I think that's where the whole Flat craze came from.....you'll have to ask Winkers when she gets back where she got the idea.....

I'm determined to finish this before we get to Part 3.....

I WANT A FLAT JORDAN! My only question is how do you feel about Chicago? I've just been informed there is a very likely possibility that WDW is out of the question this year We are going to try and take a trip to Chicago though. Would flat Jordan like to go to the windy city?

Chapter 54. Thursday, February 7th. Day 8. Part 7. We're going camping.

Doesn't it seem like we've been at Animal Kingdom forever. I promise to try and finish Day 8 by next month sometime....

So where were we? Oh yes, when we last left you, we were being berated by the Asia sign...:

We walked over to Camp Minnie and Mickey as Wendy wanted to get pictures of the kids with Safari Characters....

I would normally have passed this by and just gone back to resort, but as I mentioned in my PTR..somewhere....I was inspired by everyone taking pictures with characters....So I thought what the heck....I had a pretty good experience with Chip n Dale and Stitch.....

First it was Donald. I did this just in honor of FauntleroyFan07:

Donald feels better now as evidenced by the thumbs (do ducks have thumbs?) up:

Next up was Goofy:

Clearly Goofy thinks Kim is foxy:

After Goofy, I saw the line for Minnie and for Mickey and said I was done for the day......

I grabbed a seat and immediately saw someone sleeping...photo op for sure:

And then I saw another sleeping man:

I was going to lay next to him on the ground, but he woke up....

I then had to go the restroom....There was one in the corner kind of hidden...

Restroom rating: A single flush for sure. Quiet, clean, cool and not funky smelling....... It may have been my favorite restroom experience of the trip......

After Wendy and the kids finished up, we walked out of Camp Minnie Mickey. Erin and Dylan had been pretty well behaved so daddy treated the kids to ice cream.
