there, now I feel better.

and it's not even like you had a bad season. But now LSU is supposed to be a contender every year for the Nat'l Championship so the pressure is definitely on the coaching staff.....

True. Pressure is on. But stupid calls are stupid calls.

Ever since Saban won we've had such high expectations. The program itself has gotten so much better. But I sat in the stands for the bad years too.

True fan.

It's like being a Niner fan for the last 12 years.

VERY TRUE!!! We Louisianian's like our football! :thumbsup2

Yeah. I do like the way he and Bowden downplayed their rivalry despite the media's attempts to focus on it.

Not a big fan of the media....when network news is quoting the National Enquirer and the Star as reputable news sources, I have to wonder.

:rotfl2: I take most of the media with a grain of salt. Always trying to make more out of everything.

Can you even imagine if that really happened to you?

:scared1: Well, I sure wouldn't be standing there with my hands on my hips!! I'd be RUNNING!! :scared:

Chapter 68. Shoes-need I say more?

Biscuit and all men. I apologize in advance for this post.......

It has been well document on the DIS that I am not a fan of shopping and yet, all I seem to be thinking about these days is exactly the thing I detest-shopping.

I needed several new things for my trip. Chonies, jeans, shorts, shoes and perhaps a few shirts.

I've loaded up on new chonies. If you recall, my old chonies had seen better days. I've purchased 1 pair of jeans (one more needed), 4 pairs of shorts (2 more needed) and I need 2 pairs of shoes.

Oops. Needed 2 pairs of shoes. I went to the closest mall. The store is called Off Broadway-which has name brand shoes for less. It's a huge store and I was the ONLY person in there shopping-gotta love having Mondays off. I looked and looked for a specific type of shoe and was having no luck until I went down the back aisle and :woohoo::woohoo: I found them...angels sang:littleangel::littleangel::littleangel:; the spotlight flipped on the shoes, and the other lights went dim....THERE THEY WERE. Nadals from Clark. I've seen them on Zappos.com and it was one of 3 different shoes that I was considering-all basically the same style. It's been well documented that Clarks don't make quality shoes, but I figure I won't be wearing these shoes that often...plus I still need to purchase touring shoes--those will mos def be Merrells or Keens or something like that.

Without further ado, my shoes:

I really like them. It's the first pair of shoes I've purchased in maybe 7-8 years. I must say, it felt kinda good. Now for the touring shoes.

EDIT: Uncle update. Well the good news is I was misinformed about my uncle. He does not have cancer in his one remaining kidney. This info was good to hear. However, there is a new tumor in the area where his other kidney used to be. As stated before, surgery is not an option at this point. He will begin 4 rounds of chemo over the next 3-4 months. I don't believe this will affect the vacation unless my uncle were to take a turn for the worse over the next few weeks. Thanks again for all your support. Love you guys!

Thoughts and prayers are with your family. So sorry to hear of your Uncle's poor health. :( :grouphug:

ETA: Nice shoes. :D

Well, I hope the Chemo works for him and fast! It's good to hear that it was not in his remaining kidney.

Really like the shoes. :thumbsup2

Guess where I went today!!??!!! :rolleyes1

I really am praying for a miracle. It's been a REALLY difficult time for my uncle. It really seems that the cancer has never ever been fully eradicated from his system. So a complete remission would be nice.

I'm thinking you and I were on the same wavelength.:thumbsup2
