Hey Rebecca, how much is lasik going for these days. When we left 9 years ago, it was just becoming affordable. Now, I hear I can do it for a lot less than then!! I really want to do it, but am not sure. Are you happy with yours?? Anyone else??

Exactly! But now I have a nine year old girl who wants all her clothes from Justice! Seems awfully young to care about brand names!

Me too! Kept the wire frames for about 8 years then went to the plastic sort cat-eye shape. Wore those until I got lasik last year. Yay, no more specs for me!

I'd never even heard of Justice but apparently we have them lol. Looks kind of like Limited Too which K was pretty into at around 10. I do find it interesting that they will dedicate whole chains to the pre-tween and tween girl market, but not the boys. In some respects it's good but in others makes it hard to find clothes as they are too "big" for the little boy styles but physically too small for the teen shops. We try to keep the brand names in moderation but I swear 5th grade is the new 7th. 7th is when Jeff and I cared about those things, 5th is squarely where it has hit for all of our kids so far. I don't expect it to EVER hit the last one though.

I am not a candidate to to my defunct tear ducts (and yes, still have plastic frames, multiple pairs lol) but I know lots of folks who are thrilled with it.

oops, sorry, forgot to quote, but WENDY!!! Farrells???!!! We used to go there for birthdays !! I don't think you know this, but I grew up in Hemet, about 45 minutes away from Riverside. We would beg for the ZOO (like the kitchen sink at B&C), and one year my parents actually got it for my party!! I loved it when they came out with the whistles and drums and stuff!!

Believe it or not, the PBMCB sounds ok. I"d try anything once.

One of my fave bdays ever (4th maybe?) was at Farrells! I loved that place! Don't remember burgers or PBJ as a topping.....interesting.

Love it!! I think maybe I got the zoo once... do you remember the Pig's Trough? If you could eat it all, it was free? I don't think I ever finished one. I would go there for birthdays in my younger years, and then as a Friday night hangout in my high school years... a lot of my friends worked there so they were the loony's running around with the big drum and carrying the Zoo bowl. Ha ha ha ha. Oh, and I think they came out with the million burger toppings later on because I didn't discover that until high school. You could have up to 4 patties (it was labeled as a single, double, triple or home run burger) with whatever toppings. I was all, "I wonder if anyone has ever ordered all 4 patties, with ALL the toppings. How would that look?"

(okay..so maybe Jordan's Sally Jesse glasses made me laugh too, but shhh..don't tell him!) LOL. I can't say a word though, I think I had a Benetton t-shirt for every day of the week! Not to mention the lovely Swatch!

The Swatch watch!!! I love it - and had several. It was the best because it was waterproof....!!!

I can only imagine what someone would think if they saw you..

At least he wasn't laying on the ground

I now have an image in my head from The Sound of Music..Jordan and GB spotting each other from opposite ends of the aisle...wonderful elevator music playing as they're running toward each other in slo-mo...then seeing the travel sizes and getting totally sidetracked and starting to look 'em over for new finds!

I'm glad you liked my Romeo Kitty Boy picutures.... He really does try and be careful, bless his little heart, but I think he's after my own heart and just wants to be as close to The Lord as he can.

millie, the top row, of ours had the redish colors, but the trick to the top row along with the other rows, is when you pull them out, make a tight grip so that they stay perfectly square with each one, making them look like 1 solid piece those those around you, and then once you have a few in your hand, slid into pocket smoothly and repeat with next row of colors. always looks like you have just 1 from each color.

I love all the Home Depot heists. I'm seeing a movie deal: Jordan's Eleven.

I am cracking up with the talk of old fashion...I had the Benetton shirts, Swatch watches crawling up my arm, and there were Coca-Cola shirts like the Benetton rugby's. Cavariccis...big ole glasses...I had them all! Oh and big permed 80's hair too
My father frequents Home Depot more than I do so I have him trained to pick MHPC for me also!

I really had no idea but got curious. There was one in Boston back in '06...I know because I bought a sweater there on an il-fated Feb business trip where I FROZE and ended up buying a new coat and hat in NYC and then scarf, gloves and sweater in Boston. I remember being shocked that it still existed.

Nothing you didn't pack that can't be bought.

I admit, I still really like the sweater...it's argyle.



My rugby was white, blue and red. Of course I could never get the color to lay flat...

I confess to buying Eric a blue and yellow striped one a few years back for my own nostalgia!

I miss my preppy days....

I think I look better in glasses too! People usually look at me weird when I say that. They all thought I was crazy to wear them on my Wedding day but HELLO! that is who I am.

In Massachusetts you have to have your license photo without your glasses, I HATE that picture of myself. I look weird.
