That's what I'm saying!! Sorry Jordan not sure what happened there totally missed out!! But I'm here now to lurk and laugh out loud!!!!!!!

So tell me more about peep fest????

mid-june 2012. It all started as a conversation with my cousin, Wendy. We talked of celebrating my 50th by going to WDW AND doing the DCL as well. We've done both numerous times, but I haven't been on a cruise since 2005.
I kinda mentioned it on the DIS and I think englishrose47 labeled it the Peep Fest. June is not my 1st pick of times to go, but schools out here don't get out until mid-June and by that time Wendy would not want to pull her kids out of school for 2 weeks.

Anywho...Peep Fest 2012 is really split into 2 weeks. 1 week at WDW and 1 week on the DCL. Of course, many people will not be able to do both so one can choose one or the other. Several DISers have expressed interest and so once I go on this trip in February, I'll probably start planning it in earnest. With DCL, booking for 2012 will probably start in the fall of 2010. With the new ship scheduled to come online in 2012, it will be important to get booked early.

I will probably start a website for the Peep Fest because not only DISers interested, but also many friends and family out here. It promises to be a big shindig as many of my friends out here are also turning 50 that year.

There's been discussion about logistics. Obviously, we're not spending every waking minute together, but if we can get between 20-50 DISers and some additional friends and families, I think we can do some pretty cool things. I'd love to splurge and get a 1-2 bedroom villa just for me and perhaps 1-2 other people and then be able to host catered get togethers! We'll see. I may not go to WDW in 2011 just so I can do my 50th right in 2012.

And I can see why...that sounds very very exciting!!! OOOH a Cruise!!! I have always wanted to go on a cruise LOL!!!!!! And you should definitely have a huge shindig for your 50th!!!! Definitely can't wait to hear all about your plans!!!!!

Sooooo funny!!! I have never heard that!!! Today I'm sure threatening a brick on the head would get you sent to jail for abuse... but back then it was just plain funny. Ha ha ha. So sad how times have changed...

I feel like my mom using the "because I said so, that's why..." line a lot. Sigh, I guess we really ARE our parents after all.

Millie is SO much cuter than Bildred, anyway. (side note: humble apologies to all those Bildreds out there... )

what's so funny is the first time i told my friend anna this she said she was thinking, "oh, i hope she's not gonna say bildred." she told me i need to tell everyone that we're combining our grandmothers' names of mildred and billie for a middle name and say we're using bildred just to see what people say. i bet most people would say it was cute just to be nice.

I choose to remain lost, lost I tell you. I refuse to go back 3 pages I've missed OVERNIGHT! and will forever be wondering exactly what Brit humor, fart humor, PeepFest Planning I've missed.
