Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

Please excuse me for hijacking your thread Jordan, but I have a confession to make that I know my Dis friends will understand. For Christmas my parents arranged for family photos of each family, in addition to a huge family photo with the entire family (15 of us total with spouses and grand kids.) My older sister decreed that we should all wear red, black, or white and under NO circumstances was I to wear ANYTHING Disney. :confused3

So right before we went to the studio, she even checked me, including my ears to make sure I didn't sneak in earrings that were Mickey shaped. :scared1:

Here is the photo of my little family:

Welllllll, she needs some work on her Hidden Mickey spotting! :lmao:

I am wearing my oh so subtle Mickey Mouse scarf that I purchased last September. I took a closeup of the scarf so you can see the Mickey's but she didn't spot them and I'm not telling!!! :woohoo:

I'm sure you, my fellow "Disfreaks" as my husband affectionately calls us, understand my joy and my need to tell, right? :thumbsup2

that is too funny and sneaky at the same time! good job! :rotfl2::thumbsup2

Hooray for more China pics! I can't believe I missed them last night! The "kids on a stick" were very cute! The seahorse on a stick..ermm..not so much! :lmao:

I am supposed to wear one at WDW in honor of the guy that I saw in 08 wearing a kilt at AK.

Can u believe it's been 7 months? When did you book your trip?

I have SO much to do between now and then.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Ok, I remember now! Too funny. So....do you have your kilt ready??

I can't believe it's been 7 months! It seems like you JUST went to China!
I booked ours Oct. 12 which is the closest I've ever booked to the date we actually leave. Well, except for that make up trip in '08.

Poo coming up.

:lmao:
:eek:popcorn::

yeah...I pooped my pants...:rolleyes1:eek::scared1:

:scared1::scared1::scared1: :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It is 70 right now. I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt.

OMGosh, it is 45 right now over here and it is supposed to be in the teens tomorrow when we get a winter blast!! I'M FFFFREEEZING OVAH HERE!!!:cold:
And to make things worse, Atlantis resort keeps putting commercials on the TV this week with all kinds of specials. They are sneaky!! THEY KNOW WE ARE COLD!!!:rolleyes:

I am fairly new the the disboards and I stumbled upon this thread and I just wanted to tell you all that I think that you are so amusing! My second trip is coming up in 55 days and it is a surprise for my two kids so I am dying trying to keep it to myself:ssst: All of the pre trip planning that I would normally obsess over at the dining room table I am trying to obsess at work and late at night - and I am an early to bed person!!! Packing should be fun - we'll see! The trip is going to be a blast!!!

Wow, to keep your trip a surprise!!! That is so exciting! I should have done that... especially since the kids are old enough to be really surprised and excited to find out that's where we're going... Darn... next time perhaps.

Welcome to the madness and hold on to your hats, this is the wildest ride in the wilderness! :banana:

I am wearing my oh so subtle Mickey Mouse scarf that I purchased last September. I took a closeup of the scarf so you can see the Mickey's but she didn't spot them and I'm not telling!!! :woohoo:

This is so great! I love "subtle" Mickey wear - clothes, jewelry, etc. So it's not like we have to wear obvious Mickey gear or anything to still be Disney-ish! That is like wearing funny underwear... it's just your own little secret and you can be amused by the fact that you got that in without her knowing... so funny that you were actually "checked" to make sure!

Rock on!

:Let me warn you, I did this for my boys in September and it about KILLED me not to be able to talk about it with anyone. I vented a little on the Dis, but I wanted to spill the beans quite a few times with the kids. I finally resorted to helping an imaginary friend plan an imaginary trip so that I could question them on things like, "if you were to be at Disney on your b-day, where would you want to eat" or "did you like such and such, and would you do it again??" and things like that. :rolleyes1

Thanks, I knew people here would understand. :lmao:

Yeah...I'm not thinking that's gonna happen

Phew! (That comment was about the boots with shorts, if you forgot;))

Jordan I do laundry!!!!!!:lmao: I hadn't even heard about mosquito repellent !!!:lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Love the recap. I'd forgotten about that drunk story!

Hey, I remember most of your China pics, but I don't think you posted that toilet one the first time around! What was that red thing sticking out of the hole? A plunger?

I don't remember seeing the toilet picture before either, but thanks for sharing it with us! :thumbsup2

Well, the good thing about our kids is that they don't get a lot of say (if any) about our trip plans (ha ha ha). We pretty much do all the planning since we kind of know what they'd like to do, eat, etc. So I could pretty much plan the trip without them knowing... I do all the packing too so they wouldn't even be tipped off by that... ha ha. :laughing:

It's on the shopping list..;)

I've done so much LESS planning this trip. I just don't have the time.

It's been 2 weeks of above normal temps....nice weather gets old...;)

Ha! I'd look too much like one of the Village people...:scared1:

that's how I do it too. It works well with my control issues.;)

the only down side is I'm still packing for my 16 yr old....you just can't trust a teenage boy to bring enough clean chonies and socks.

Ok...the pic is awesome. And the scarf is awesome!

What I want to know is who made your sister boss of what acessories you could and couldn't wear? :confused3 I get the shirt color thing...I do. Makes the pics look more uniform...but acessories? Come on. :P I would have worn Mickey earrings and refused to take them off. lol

Oh well. Glad she's not a "disfreak" like you and that you were able to sneak your scarf in. :D

Jordan...where's your update? I though we got one every day once you hit the 30 day mark. :rotfl2:

Hey - this sounds great (having to look for ways to save money these days...) - question - how does it work for static cling? Or is it primarily for just fabric softening. I use the sheet for the static part too.

Wendy, I'm sorry I missed this before! I would think it would work for static cling the same way a regular softener sheet would, but we don't wear a lot of cling-inviting clothes, so I'm not sure.
