Peeking out of my mail today I see a ...

postcard from Disney Destinations LLC ... could it be? ... could it finally be my lucky day? ... could it finally be a postcard with a pin code? ... throwing the rest of my mail down all over the place, I pull the postcard out ... on the front side of it, a picture of a family sitting in front of the Castle, it says "Family dreams are just around the corner" ... in the bottom front corner it says "Year of a Million Dreams Walt Disney World" ... holding my breath, my heart skipping a beat, I turn it over ... there printed in red ink, "Disney Theme Park Packages from $1104*"... my suspense mounting ... "at the Embassy Suites" ... WHAT???!!! ... WHERE???!!!! ... WHAT THE HECK IS THIS??!!!! ... I don't want to stay in a "WDW Good Neighbor Hotel" where "Disney Tickets are Sold Here" as it says on the postcard ... I want to stay at a Disney Resort ... and I want a discount pin code ...

I just give up ... not only won't Disney Destinations LLC send me a postcard or an email with a pin, but now they are encouraging me to book and stay at a totally different resort chain all together? ... I don't get it ... it just all seems a little crazy to me ...

I have to share my "ALMOST" moment!

I had a friend who had a code that had expired, she called in and they said they could look up by her address..guess what? She got the 40%....I was encouraged enough to try again (I asked a couple of weeks ago and got a CM that said they no longer are able to look up people's codes)

Sooooo>>>I call today and tell him I'm sorry to call and ask (I always feel like the little matchstick girl begging for someone to buy my matches), but share the experience my friend had and since we'd moved and my address may have been sent a postcard unawares could he please check...I also told him I realized I actually was sent codes last fall in 3 different Disney Destinations but at that time I wasn't planning a trip...he was soo nice and said to give him those codes maybe he could do something with them..

Ahhh...I'm feeling pixie dust floating all around me! He's asked me to be put on hold while he talks to his supervisor! WHAT? Could this mean a special Disney moment for MUA? I'm almost bursting with anticipation when he beeps back in and sweetly apologizes for having me on hold. (YES...YES...no problem, give me the news!!) When he says that he's still on hold trying to reach his supervisor...(oh...but all hope is not lost, he's still going to try!)...so I'm on hold again...surely all this holding must be leading to a golden pot at the end of the rainbow, or atleast enough savings on this planned vacation so we can afford it...all is not lost, surely, surely..then he comes back on and I could tell by his voice he was almost as disappointed as I was...but he said they had nothing they could offer me at this time.

Oh well, I thanked him and the only saving grace is that while talking about my former address (still my address because we still own the blinking house..not selling in this dismal market)...he said that if a code had been mailed to my former address that they could not apply it because my address has changed..huh? But, I assured him that...no I'm one of the lucky ones that gets to have 2 houses and since we can still receive mail there I should be able to count that as my residence as well! So now, I have two addresses that might receive a code! That's good isn't it? Although I'd rather have one less mortgage payment...but really the good code about equals the savings I'd have getting rid of the mortgage payment!
