Pearls? Black, Blue, Green Don't care

I know where the pearl thing is at Epcot. I think I know where it is at DTD. I have heard that there is a Pick a Pearl at AK. Is this true and where?

A poster in the "Hidden Romance" thread said he purchased a "Pick a Pearl" at AK several years ago. I was wondering if this was true and if it still was there. I thought it would be neat to get the DW one at AK this time. I got her one at Japan last time.

I don't know about AK but there is a pick a pearl place at the Beach Club near the ferry dock to Epcot/MGM. It is right across from the Boardwalk. We got one there in May after Illuminations. We walked to the BC from Epcot and then back to the BW where we were staying.

You can pick at pearl at

Epcot in Japan
and at Downtown Disney!!!

I was there in June and saw both locations.

I picked a pearl in Japan, it is $13.95 to pick.
I got a 7mm white pearl.

Then you can look at and if you choose have your
pearl set into various settings of rings, earrings, pendants.

I never saw one at AK, but I know of the one at the Beach Club, on the boardwalk by SAB. DH bought me one there in May and had it set in a lovely ring with diamonds. I've found the people at that booth so nice; yet, whenever I've been at DTD, whoever's there seems a little too pushy (maybe I just hit it at the wrong time, but that's been my experience). And at the Beach Club, after you're done, having a sundae at B&C is a great way to put the finishing touch on the experience.

Thanks for the Info. It looks like I may have to go to the Beach Club to get one. I did the Epcot one last time and want to get it from another place. Oh Well, I suppose I may have to go to B&C while waiting for it to be mounted. Poor Me

Unfortunately I don't remember the exact location. It was on a pathway and was near one of the walking trails.....very helpful, I know BUT I do know that it was DEFINITELY at AK
It was the coldest day of the week and I was trying to decide if I wanted to waste my money on a sweatshirt but once I saw the pearl kiosk I decided I could defrost later....and spent the money on a pearl and had it mounted on a ring

I can't wait to do this when I'm there. It would be cool to get "twins" so I can have earrings made. If I get a single I plan on having it made into a charm for a necklace.

My Mom, sisters & I all have purchased Pearls in WDW. Mostly from AK but last summer when we were there I think we were told that it closed. It used to be located near Asia. We also purchased on at the CBR. I'm hoping to do this again when we go back in a few weeks. I have one set in a Dolphins pendant and my mom has one set in a ring. I keep trying for a black pearl but have been unsuccessful. My sister, however, got lucky and has a black and a pink one.

I tried to take a picture of my Dolphin pendant but it didn't come out so well. I'll keep trying.

I got two almost twins in Epcot - same size but different colors, one gold and one pink. They told me I could match one for earrings (they have a supply of extras for matching) but instead I got a wishbone charm that has the pearls at the ends. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! If I was more savvy I could post a picture. I'll try finding directions. I had wanted to post a picture of all the setting choices so while I watched my pearls get set, my husband went to take a picture of the setting choices. When we got home, I found no photo of settings, but a really nice one of a pretty Japanese girl smiling behind the counter. I guess he got distracted! Sorry! Boys will be boys! I can't wait to get another pearl this trip. My DD6 got a 8.5mm gold pearl last time and they did the whole bang the gong thing. She was thrilled. It's HUGE! We may get it set this trip. Check back for possible pics!
