Does anyone have any pics of the Portofino rooms? I just booked a Bay View King Room and would love to see some pics. Also, I would love to see some pics of the grounds.


I am a Grand Floridian kinda gal, and I absolutely LOVE that place, and I have read on these boards that the PBH is better than the GF! Can anyone tell me why?

I'm a GF lover too and thought I would share PBH pics from our New Year's Eve stay...

We had a Hospitality Suite overlooking the Villa Pool for a couple of nights and then another kind of suite overlooking the piazza for our last night (there was a mix-up with our reservation. My husband booked their Presidential Suite which turned out to not be available so they worked out this combination of rooms...) Anyway, both rooms were great but we loved being in the quiet wing of rooms by the Villa Pool.

Yes I had not remembered that but once you wrote it, I remembered that that's what is was. It was great and we enjoyed that view, especially festive on NYE, but we LOVED the quiet and solitude (never saw another guest!) of the Villa area...

Thank you. Both rooms were really nice. We've stayed at HRH once too - DD11 is really wanting to go back I am a "Disney person" but I really, really like the Universal resorts. They are great!! My husband wants to go back this year for New Year's Eve This time I will take my precious dog b/c I can hardly bear to leave her I can't believe they allow pets

My family over the years visiting WDW & UO has stayed at a wide range of hotel levels. As a result we have stayed at the GF once and PBH twice and I have to admit that the PBH blew GF out of the water! I have to say that expectations may have had a major part in being disappointed at the GF, but PBH blew us away. Pulling up the road to the hotel and walking into the lobby made us feel like celebrities LOL. I honestly can't remember the room type we had on both stays, but they overlooked the pool with a slide!

I think that with the GF we just didn't feel anything 'more' than the other level resorts at Disney. To give a truly fair review we would have to stay there again I suppose!

Well from this little post you may think we hated the GF , but it's quite the opposite I know a lot of people have not gotten to experience the different resorts like I have... but hopefully you all get that!
