PBH OR Hard Rock?

Hi Everybody ,

We're (me, DH, DS-12 and DD-8) going to be heading to Universal in Aug . Currently we're booked in PBH Club level. I'm thinking about switching to the Hard Rock, either club level or a deluxe room. We've stayed at PBH once before but not club level.

Can anybody give me some comparisons between these two hotels? Do you feel club level is worth it? I'm thinking Hard Rock would be more "fun" but I'm wondering will it be quiet enough to be relaxing.

For Club level, I prefer the HRH & here's why:
At the Portofino, the club level rooms are on the 6th floor & the club level lounge is on the 3rd floor (lobby level). Now I like to grab a few drinks and/or a plate of snacks & head to the room - at the Portofino, that's a long trip, hallways, evevators, not a fun walk with drinks & plates!
The Hard Rock, however, everything is on the same floor - it's streamlined & you have to have a club level room key to even get the elevator to stop on the club level floor! Plus, I found the staff to be much more polite/helpful at the HR club level.

PS, don't forget, you can pool hop at all of the resorts if you are staying on site, so of the pool at HR is too noisy, you can head to the Portofino & relax at the villa pool !
