PBH - No deluxe rooms on West Wing?! What to do?

I have 3 rooms reserved at PBH (our first stay there - we're trying it out because there are so many of us and the rooms are larger) for columbus day weekend. One std 2 Q room was automatically upgraded to deluxe for my gold status - I called today to request that the deluxe room be connecting to one of the stds (DD broke her foot and using a wheel chair some of the time - she will be needing lots of help with her 2yo and I'd like to be right next door) and was told that not only were there no deluxe rooms on the West Wing where I requested, but that there were no deluxe rooms connecting to std rooms so this couldn't be done. She suggested I could give up the deluxe room reservation and try and get 3 stds together on the West Wing - or keep the deluxe room and it would be in a completely different wing than the stds. I told her to keep the deluxe room (I was really excited to finally get an upgrade for reaching gold) and I would see what could be done at check in - any suggestions? Is it true that the main building is the only location for deluxe rooms and that there are no stds in that building? Not the biggest of deals for me - there are enough 'real' problems in the world right now to be upset about of course - but I just want to be well informed and prepared at check in for what to expect and what is possible. TIA for any suggestions/advice.

I do not think that is even true! I booked a deluxe for our July '5 trip and was upgraded to a Villa Suite in the West Wing. The parlors for the Villa Suites are flanked on either side by a queen deluxe and a king deluxe. So, I don't know why you would be told there are no deluxes in the West Wing. :confused3 Ours was gorgeous.

The west wing houses a few deluxe rooms. They are on the 5th floor and are mostly used as connecting rooms to villa parlors as stated in the other posts. Only the hotel itself would know this. Universal reservations only knows of deluxes in the villa wing and standard garden and bay view rooms in the east and west wings You will not find a deluxe room that connects to a standard room anywhere in the hotel. Hope that helps.

Thanks you guys - yes, I was speaking with the front desk - however, it did take her quite a long time just to find the resort address so I could send DNeph's birthday package on ahead  . I sure do miss Feralpeg's great baskets - had to make up my own and mail it down. I guess that the problem is that I have 1 deluxe and 2 stds and I was trying to connect one of each, which it looks like can't be done. She did offer me to connect the 2 stds in the west wing (or downgrade to 3 stds) - but I hate to give up my deluxe room to a bunch of teens/20s so that I can be connected to DD and DGrD to help her out. Well, we'll see what happens at check in - like I said, after the last few months of news and our own family tragedies, it certainly won't ruin my vacation - I am sooo outta here! :smooth:
