I have booked the PBH for 3 nights in Oct. We have a Gardenview queen/queen booked at $184, $184 and $278. I now see I can get the HRH deluxe queen/queen for about $100 more total for the 3 nights.
Here is what I have to consider:
We will have 3 adults and 2 kids, so we would have to rent a rollaway at PBH, which is apparently $25 or $30 a night (I have heard conflicting reports). The HRH deluxe has a pullout sofa included in the price. This brings the difference in price down to $10 or $25 (more at HRH).
I originally went with PBH for the larger rooms because we will have 5, but the HRH deluxe is bigger (463 vs. 500 sq. feet).
We have stayed at HRH twice, and absolutely love the short walk to the parks! At PBH we would probably take the water taxi, rather than walk the extra dstance. In terms of convenience to parks, the HRH wins IMO.
My MIL (the 3rd adult traveling w/ us) is from Italy, and I thought she might really enjoy the atmosphere at PBH. For the rest of us, it doesn't matter. Actually my DH and I were never interested in PBH before, we thought it sounded a little "stuffy" for our style. Has anyone styed in both rooms and can compare? Does anyone want to offer their opinion on which is the better plan for us? Thanks!

I personally would go with the deluxe at HRH. The room is bigger like you said and the bathroom set up may be more convenient for five people. At HRH there is a sink in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom. At PBH you would have the big deluxe bathroom but everything is in one room. Also, the deluxe queens at HRH have the pullout sofa which when your not sleeping on it provides a nice sitting area.

If you decide HRH, do take dear MIL for a boat ride over to PBH (preferably at night) and perhaps dinner at Mama Dellas.

Thanks, I will definitely do that. Although we have plans for a few of the Citywalk resturants so don't know if we will squeeze in another dinner. Is there a place at PBH to just get dessert or coffee, preferably outside with a nice view?
