I saw photos of club level offerings at the Royal Pacific Hotel and am wondering if anyone has info on the PBH's club food? We're trying to make the decision whether to spring for club level or not. We have three kids and the food will make a big difference.

Has anyone stayed in the PBH club level lately?

Thanks in advance!

Food at the PBH has an Italian flavour to it. Breakfast is standard fare with fruit, cereal, and pastries. Mid-afternoon is a healthy snack and dinner is antipasta, cold salad and one warm item. Dessert at night is cookies and some other treat. Drinks are always available.

Is club level at Portofino enough to make a light dinner or is it more of an appetizer before dinner?

What we often did was have a big lunch at the parks and then have the light dinner at Portofino and make sure we did the dessert later that evening.

Three children? I would definitely do the club level. You may not break entirely even but the convenience more than makes up the difference. Our last visit was over July 4th. Breakfasts include several juices, cereals, oatmeal , cream of wheat, pastries, fresh cut up fruit, bagels, yogurt, granola, coffee and teas. LAte afternoon offerings include wine, beer, antepasta, veggies, dip, cheese, crackers and two hot items. One night it was wings and mini hot dogs. I also recall fried raviolis, chicken on a stick, potato skins. There were other items as well. If you have a big lunch , the evening offerings are more than enough. On July 4th we had reservations at Mythos but the boys enjoyed the wings and min hotdogs so much, we decided to cancel our reservations. We were more than full. The cookies at dessert are also very yummy. Other drinks include sodas and bottled water (I cal them baby bottles because they are the very small ones).

Thanks so much for the detailed response!! I so appreciate it. I am thinking and rethinking all the time. LOL! The more info I have, the happier I am.

I am so appreciative to you and Damo for all the great input! Thanks, again.

We usually have breakfast in the club, eat a later lunch in the parks or City Walk and then just nibble on the appetizers in club.

We also have 3 children and I cannot imagine staying at PBH without club privileges. The convenience is worth any extra money we might spend.

Being able to run down and grab a bowl of cereal or some bagels before we head out is worth it to us. We have breakfast in the club looking out over the piazza, plan our day and then head over to the parks. No worrying about ordering, waiting for food, waiting for the bill. Just eat, clean up and head over to the boat dock. We have really come to enjoy a leisurely morning (thank you FOTL) in the club in the morning having our coffee and watching the morning unfold over the bay and the piazza.

And the drinks. When the kids want a water or a soda, they can just run down to the lounge and grab one.

I'll be there with three children in a couple of weeks. I'll report back if it's not too late.
