PBH $170.00/night August-good?

I booked 2 nights (Aug 15-17) Bay View at PBH for $170.00 (entertainment rate).

Looking for opinions -- good rate or not considering we just booked it now?

The hotwire rate appears to be 158.00 (it showed the tennis, golf, and kids icons), which is probably a garden view.

Should I keep the 170.00 (I have it on hold for a week), or does anyone know of a better rate?

Well first off i have never heard of them holding a room for a week without a cc. They will do a 24hr hold for you unless i guess you told them you were sending in a check for payment. Anyhow we are going Aug for Labor Day and i booked a 155 garden view ent. rate. (thanks for the card JessicaR). So that's inline for a bay view you know if I was gonna spend 170 i'd go ahead and book the deluxe for 180. I'm platuim and i request a deluxe room instead of booking the suite and they were happy to upgrade me on the spot so that's why i did'nt spend the extra. But i think it's decent price and i doubt unless you do hotwire that's as good as it's gonna get for bay view.

I've made reservations a couple of times where they held the room for me for a week without a credit card charge (no, I wasn't sending a check in for payment). Maybe it depends on the reservationist, but I think they should have some kind of standard policy to make it fair to everyone.

Of all our trips only 1 time have they ever taken a deposit for our reservation. Amazes me too! I have booked online 2 times and they never took a deposit said they would charge 1 night but never did. Also booking with 1 800 be a star I never had my deposit charged out. I have to agree they need to get it together with consistency! So many times I get different info depending on who I speak with. Its gotten to the point if I dont like the answer I just call back!

Oh and in keeping with the OP....$170 for the bayview is good for those dates!

Wow...only $10.00 more for a deluxe? I may have to call and change them. Since we're only staying 2 nights, that's only $20.00 extra.
