I swore that I've seen people saying something about having their last payment due. I was looking to book another trip in October and stay on property this time so I went online to see about getting a package but it said to add the package to my cart and checkout. I freaked out since I sure can't pay for it all now. Am I correct that Disney does payments on packages or am I dreaming?

Yes you can do payments. A package you will need to put a deposit of $200 down and unless things have changed the remainder will need to be paid by 45 days prior to arrival.

You can do the payments however you want once booked, daily, weekly, monthly or just one lump sum at the end.

You have to pay $200 deposit when you book the package. The rest has to be paid something like 45 days prior to check in. Once you pay the deposit, you can make payments on whatever schedule you want, as long as it's 100% paid by the 45 days prior to check in.

Don't want to disagree with PPs, as I'm not sure why, but my experience with my upcoming trip was that I paid a little under $150 down (140-something and change) and my remaining balance is due the day I check in.

Is that for a package with room and tickets or just a room only reservation?

My understanding is that room only requires the one night deposit with the remainder due at check in.

That's how a room only reservation works. You pay one night up front, and the rest is due when you check in.

Right, there's a difference between packages and "room only" reservations. With a room reservation, you pay one night's stay up front and the rest when you check in. Packages with tickets and rooms (with or without dining) it's $200 down, the rest due 45 days out.

We have a package in January and the balance due was only 30 days out.
