Hello everyone....

I went back to the Travelocity site today and got a quote for a weekly rental for a full size car from Payless for 116.99/week and 29.99/extra day. I think that this is a great price, compared to other's I've been getting, even with discount codes. I would have to go off terminal though. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Payless negative or positive. This price seems to good to be true...and we all know what they say about that ;)

Also....I've noticed that most quotes are base price....and that the "real" price shows up when you book. I've tried to go far through the process on travelocity...but haven't been able to find out my "real" price....should I call Travelocity...or Payless directly?

Thank you very much,

To get the real price, you will have to call Payless.

Payless is a small agency that is offsite. The offsite agencies are often cheaper since the don't have to pay airport rent. However, there have been some stories that these agencies really push you to upgrade and take insurance. I would bring the proof of my insurance with me and a print out of your reservation.

Here is roughly what will be added to that 'base' price:
Concession Fee Recov Chrg 9.8 Pct : $ 11.47/wk.
Fl Schrg/tire&bat Fee 2.05 $/dy : $ 14.35/wk.
Fla License Fee .41 $/day : $ 2.87/wk.
State Tax (6.0%) : $ 7.02/wk.
----------------
TOTAL CHARGE (ROUGHLY!!!) : $ 152.70 / wk.

I have a code anyone can use at the Payless car rental website that will bring that base rate down to $113.99. (Total charge to about $149.22) Send me a PM or email me at
travelcoupon @ travelcouponsonline.com
and I'll give you the link to the code.

National gives you everything in their quote. What are your dates? If you are a disney club member, a random week in august has a full size or intermediate base rate of $135, DC gives 20% off, plus there is a coupon for 1 day free, bringing the total to under $130 with fees & taxes included. But DC membership is $35, so it's only worth it if you are already a member. In septemeber the base rate is $130 int or fs.

We used Payless last year and had no trouble. They are outside of the airport terminal, but their shuttles were very quick. We were offered to upgrade and take out insurance, but we politely declined and weren't pressured any further. We would consider using them again.
