Paying with dining plan credit - how do I know total for tip purposes?

Question about the auto grat, i know it is included in groups of 6+, but if i make an ADR for 9 ppl and there are two bills at service, one for 4 the other for 5, are auto grat included on each bill because the ADR was 6+ or are we left to our own to tip as a bill under 6 ppl??

We always add 0 for the tip and then tip in cash. I tend always to tip in cash as i don't trust restaurants to actually give the money to the waiters.

I do this too usually but I write cash on the line rather 0 that way served/management know there was a tip

Always write something, especially in the total section, because i have heard MANY stories and also worked in the industry, if it is left blank, some dishonest servers do sometimes 'take a tip for themselves' by filling out the tip and total section themselves, before finalizing the receipt.

The auto gratuity is added for any table where there are 6 or more people (including infants) regardless of how many ways the bill is being split. Each party will have the auto-gratuity added for their share of the bill.
