Paying with a Disney Vacation Account

I know that if I pay for a package through my Disney Vacation Account I will eligible for the gift cards they award you for the amount you spend, but if some of my family members let me use it to pay for their package as well would I receive a gift card for that reservation as well?

Also, if we do a room only, can I pay the entire balance before we arrive with my DVAccount? Or is that not possible?

There is nothing in the fine print which says that the person who owns the account must actually travel on the reservation that they are paying for. But why would your family members use you as the go-between and let you have a bonus that they are entitled to? Wouldn't they want to have the $20 per $1000 bonus GC to use on their own vacation?

If you do room-only, you can pay the entire amount ahead of your arrival. Since the DVA account acts like a GC, you should have no problem using it to pay for your room reservation.

Well, for one each reservation may not add up to $1000 apiece. But two different ones will, (if they will do that). And a $20 gift card is really just a little bonus that I can get from doing it. (planning, booking it, putting down the deposit for them, ect, ect)
