Paying OOP for CRT Breakfast?

On the standard dining plan, I'd pay it out of pocket so that we'd still have TS credits for dinner every night. It isn't a very good use of credits, financially speaking, so if you'd like having the extra meals, it makes sense to pay for the breakfast and use the dining plan for dinner.

We did that in October - seemed to make more sense than using 2 of the DP credits per person. With Deluxe plan in April we will use the DP 2 credits, because that will make more sense with DDDP.

I am visiting WDW in april for the first time with the kids. CRT is a must for my little princess. I have been going back and forth about this same issue. We have 8:10am ADR. We are on the dining plan. I think I will pay for this. I did sit down and try and figure out the difference in cost if I payed OOP for two dinners and it was alot. This meal is expensive but its a one shot deal for me. Good luck. Hope you enjoy it...

I've done it both ways. Personally I think the best value is to pay OOP and then to have two extra sit downs. But last trip we had a day at DC and a day at SW, so I just would have been eating two sitdowns a day for the sake of the credits......didn't make sense for us. So I used the credits for CRT. So it would depend on my schedule. Next trip I will probably not do non-Disney parks so I will go back to OOP for CRT and more nice meals.

It managed to sort itself out - DS called last night and lucked out on a ADR for dinner on the 23rd, worth the 2 credits for us. Thanks for your help - I think we would have paid OOP for the breakfast.

I'd pay cash for it. I don't think it's worth 2 credits. Food-wise, it's always the worst breakfast we eat. Of course, that's not really what you are paying for. ;) The food at the Norway breakfast, or any other character breakfast-'Ohana, Cape May Cafe, etc. is WAY better.

We pay OOP for the breakfast. The only problem with the dinner at CRT is that there are no princesses upstairs and the fairy godmother does not come to each table.
