Paying off stay

Were staying at BLT MK view in December. I was wondering if it's possible to add our park tickets and dining plan onto our reservation and make payments on them or if they have to be paid for up front.

If you add the Dinning Plan, payment is due in full at that time.

Everything is due at the time you buy them. Maybe you should make payments to your savings account and have the money ready when you go. Or you could buy Disney gift cards and use those to buy the DDP and tickets.

Unless things have changed, the dining plan needs to be added more than 48 hours before your arrival with payment due in full at the time you add it. You could save up and add it a few days before your trip.

We always buy our park tickets from Undercover Tourist and when we arrive we have them put onto our room key.

This is normally what we do. I just never bothered to ask before. I have a bank account just for vacation. Save all year and order a debit card on that account a month before the trip so I can just put that card on my room key. I destroy the card when I get home so I'm not tempted to use that card on non vacation stuff.

I have never done this, so I may be speaking out turn, but I thought I remembered that WDW trips that you put on your Disney Visa get 6 months no interest. I don't know if that was a seasonal special, or it's all the time though. And I also don't know if it's only for MYW packages or can be used for things like the dining plan.

The 6 months can be used for MYW packages and for vacation points brought through Disney only. The offer is valid all the time til removed by Chase.

If that was during your December-ish trip, they were having hard times putting tickets onto KTTW with the changeover in computer system. Even now it's not 100% that CMs can do it. So it might not have been your Entertainment ticket (how'd you buy through the book?), but just their system.

Any thoughts of an AP now?

Yea it was when I was there in December. I called up the entertainment book office in orlando and ordered it. It was at the resort waiting for me when I checked in. I'd love to get an ap but I don't know when I'll get to use it again. I share the DVC membership with my parents so Im not guaranteed a trip every year.
