Paying off room bit by bit?

Just had a thought....

I paid my deposit for our room with CC. Now I have been sending in $$ with checks. What happens if (hate to even say it outloud!) we had to cancel. Will they see that part was by CC and part by check?
How will the refund come?

Has anyone done this?

Yes, this has happened to me. It has been about three years ago, we were staying at POFQ and had to cancel, we paid our deposit on CC and the balance by check. Our CC was credited the deposit, and we were mailed a check for the remaining balance that we had paid by check. Hope this helps!
