Why does Disney make it so hard to pay them? I loathe paying on the resort package through the automated system. It is tough when you have 3 kids running around, or that could cry at any given second to use the automated thing, it always screws it up! Then I don't want to sit on hold forever, or go through all the conversation with a CM just to make a payment. I logged in online, and it will not let me make a partial payment, only full balance, and my 45 days aren't until August 18th.

It may seem like I am just looking for something to complain about, but, I have been making a $100 payment once a week, and then an extra $200 payment once or twice a month, so, I am constantly dealing with it.

Ok, whine over....:goodvibes

Ugh ... I hate the automated payment systems, whether it's for Disney or something else.

As soon as I pick up the phone to call anyone, my kids receive some kind of radar signal: "Mom! Mom, I need to ask you something ..." And then when you say, "Not now, I'm on the phone", the automated voice on the other end of the line says, "I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand that." OR The automated voice will ask, "How much would you like to pay?" And when you say "Ninety dollars" the "voice" comes back with, "Okay, that was nine-hundred dollars." OPERATOR!! TECH SUPPORT!!

I paid for the first time recently with the automated system (have always talked to CMs in the past) and had no trouble with it. However DD is 10 and if I brief her beforehand that I"m going to be on the phone and she has to be quiet all goes well. I do know the frustration of saying something and freaking out other automated systems so I feel your pain!

It will let you make a partial payment.... you should see 2 options at the top. One has the full amount and one has something ( I think) like $20.00. (something like that). Click that option....then lower down it'll show an open box where you enter in your $$ amount that you would like to pay.
That's all there is to it. We did that from November last year up until a week ago when I finished paying it off. They definitely don't make it easy to see though......when I first did it, I thought ,why on Earth would I only put $20 down ? but apparently that option opens the window to add your amount. :goodvibes

That online system always works strangely for us. You can click on partial payment and then the second screen lets you enter a different amount...but then when you submit the payment it goes back to the main Disney page...no confirmation or anything. I always have to check the bank website then, to make sure it went through.....it's been that way for the last 3 years for us....irritating. It won't even pull up one of our ressies this year so I had to sit through the phone system.....oh well, atleast it's paid for in full now.

Hey and you're going the same time we are.....and you live in Georgia...neat :)

For this last trip, I got a 0% on purchases credit card and I've been putting everything on that. Pay a little each month and by the time the 0% is up it's paid off.

:confused3

I always pay online too and the first time that happened I thought it was a computer glitch. Then I realized they never give a confirmation or a simple thank you for your payment:confused3. Amazes me that Disney can't put a simple confirmation page on their payment section. Oh well it's not like its gonna stop me from going! :rotfl:

Yea....a nice "thank you for your payment" or a "your new balance is".....something! We can't even pull up one of our ressies/rooms online so I had to pay one off online and then the other I had to call in so I got to experience both LOL

The online payment system leaves something to be desired. The not giving a confirmation is more than irritating..my mother made a payment the trip for her portion and thought it went through but it didnt and although it was not a huge deal it was a irritation because she thought it was taken care of and it wasnt. Last year we found out that we couldnt both make payments on the same day. I live in IN she lives in MI and so we just both made payments and it would not accept 2 same day payments. Not a big deal but it was the few days before our payment was due and I loathe talking to people on the phone that is why i love online....anyways just a few glitches overall the system works well but would love love love a confirmation number after payments made :)

I just paid (in full) online this morning. While it took FOREVER for the site to load (which drives me batty), once I got into my reservation, it was pretty easy. I am bothered that Disney does not generate confirmation to print, yet, when I purchased my tickets to MNSSHP immediately following, I got a very nice payment confirmation page. Seems that the same could be easily generated for paying off or paying toward an entire trip :confused3. Anyway, I guess I will just check my credit card statement in a few days to be sure the charge is there.

As a PP mentioned, there is a way to make partial payments online (for what's it worth). The whole process, including purchasing MNSSHP (seperate transactin) took about 15 minutes.

If someone can answer a question for me? When I do online check in 10 days before our trip, will I be able to link my credit card at that time or do I need to do that when I actually get there? TIA!

Why not just set your $100/week aside and then make one payment when it comes due?

That's what I would do. We have a separate ING account set up for vacation savings; I just deposit $ in there, use my Disney CC to pay in full, then pay off the CC from the Vacation account. This way my money is earning interest for as long as possible (although it's not much these days!) & I get the Reward Dollars from using my CC.

It will never cease to amaze me how a large corporation like Disney can have such a crappy website. You'd think they'd want their website to be as user-friendly as possible, and would have the hiring power & resources to make that a reality.

I hate the system also. I owed 200.00 on my pakage last week. I wanted to pay 150.00 on one debit card then was going to go back in with my other one to pay the 50.00. It took all 200.00 from the first debit card. Not a huge deal I just had to transfer money. But I did click partial and put in the 150.00. But that is not what came out.

I have also made payments in the past and they haven't come out at all. So ugh:headache:. I just think they need to get that fixed. I always get a invoice the next day. But it would be nice it to get a conformation at the end just saying they recieved payment. That way I wouldn't have to go back into my account to make sure the $$ cam eout.

I completely agree. I have learned the hard way to just make 1 payment and wait. I did not think that anything went through and clicked again. The next day a double payment came out of my checking. DUH! It was completely my fault, I should have checked my checking account to see before clicking again. Oh well, it's just less I have to pay later....but at the time it was frustrating. I really wish they would fix this.

If you are making payments online and want to see if your payment went through just pull back up your reservation afterwards and pretend you are going to make another payment. That screen will show your new balance.
