Paying for Taxis in Nassau?

Yes we paid American cash. It was usually $4 per person. And the taxi we went on didn't like to give change.

They may give you bahamian money as change-in the stores and restaurants as well.(we ended up with some coins and a bill) I think we were charged $4 per person each way....(4 of us-$16 total) so we just gave him a $20 to make it easy.

I personally have only ever used cash or cashiers checks when we buy anything in ports.
