Hi! We are due to pay our deposit and as we are from the UK I'm wondering if I can use on of those pre-loadable cash cards you can get from travel agents, rather than a credit card. Think they are Visa or MasterCard. I've heard you don't get a foreign exchange fee with these cards? Anyone had any experience with this or can offer any advice? Thanks as always :thumbsup2

Yes I used Fairfx and had no problems, just make sure DFTW put the month and year the right way round, mine kept on being rejected and I thought there was a fault with the card but they were inputing it the wrong way!:lmao:

Get a Post Office credit card (which doesn't charge exchange fees) or the best rate on pre paid cards look at FairFX. They tend to have much better rates than the high st. :goodvibes

Another fan of the FairFX card here!! I have so far used it for all my deposits/payments for the VR. The only one who would not accept it was the officiant and I had to send him a travellers cheque.
I have used the FairFX card for a number of years for my WDW trips and love it. You can use it like a credit/debit card or draw out cash whilst in the USA with no problem. You just need to keep track of your balance whilst away. The exchange rate is always better (when you load it) than that of the travel agents, banks, PO etc.

Yes you can only get it online. I used it for my last trip and was really happy with it. The rate is usually better than credit cards and it's easy to top up whenever you see a good exchange rate.
