What's the best experience with paying your annual dues with Disney gift cards that are either discounted or give a percentage back such as Target using the Red Card ?

Who gives more bang for your buck?

Best Buy currently has an offer for a bonus $15 eGC for every $150 eGC that you purchase (max. of 3 $15 bonuses per person). The eGC is delivered to your email almost immediately, the bonus eGC will be delivered 12/1. Best Buy GCs can be used to purchase Disney GCs in their stores. You end up getting $495 in Disney GCs for $450, which is about a 9.1% savings. Your savings is even more if you use your rewards credit card for the eGC purchase.

Some American Express cards have an offer for a $25 statement credit when you spend $250 or more at Best Buy. Again, you can buy Disney GCs in Best Buy and get the credit on your AmEx but you have to "add" the offer to your card prior to making the purchase. That's a straight 10% savings.

Chase Ink business card gives 5 points per dollar spent at office supply stores (Staples, etc.) so that's where we get our Disney GC's.

I buy Disney GCs at Kroger using my Chase Freedom card. I hit it during a time that I can get 4x fuel points plus 5% cashback through Chase on grocery purchases. For every $1000, I get what equals $140 in gas savings plus $50 cashback from Chase. That is a 19% savings. There's nothing that beats this!

I love the Amex deals. Last year there was also a $10 off $50 deal at Staples, I think. Also hoping Target does their 10% off deal this year.

But I recommend checking out the gift card thread on the Budget Board for updates:

If you live in the NY/NJ area, Stop & Shop is giving $20 off groceries with $100 in GC purchases through the end of November. There are some exclusions to this offer. The $20 off coupon prints on your receipt after paying for the GC. They had this offer last year, too, and I paid my dues with the Disney GC's I bought and got lots of free groceries.

Ah, 20% savings. Guess there is something that beats my strategy!
