PAY PAL question - please help!

I'm sorry if this has been discussed but i couldn't find the answer.

I've used paypal successfully for several years but for my recent ebay purchase, the website keeps asking for another credit card. It says the one i put in is
'already on file' -- so i put in another one, even though i didn't want to, and it says that one is on file too, that i need to add another one!??!! What??

ALL of my cards are valid and in good-working order (and then some, yikes!) so there's no reason why they shouldn't be accepted.

I can't find an answer on their site so i emailed them but haven't heard back.

Meanwhile, the seller would like to be payed -- and i'd like my item!

Can anyone please help?? I'd greatly appreciate it very much. TIA.

I've had wexactly the same problem--when my choices of how to pay pop up, credit card is not one of them, even though my credit card is on file! Like you, I tried to add a credit card but it was already on file, and Paypal would not list it as a choice of a way to pay!

I finally ended up paying for one item with my Paypal blalance and a couple of other items with an Echeck from my bank account, but I wasn't 100% sure I had the balance to cover the purchases. It is so aggravating.
