I played Joanne in a college production. I'm sure I was horrible. You can't sing "Ladies Who Lunch" when you're 22 and get it.

We saw the revival on Broadway and Raul Esparza did a good job. I liked Barbara Walsh as Joanne but I would LOVE to see Patty in the role. I'm not sure how I feel about Neil Patrick Harris... My favorite still has to be Dean Jones.. LOVE that original cast recording!! Being Alive always makes me cry... the music is just incredible. I have favorite versions of many of the songs from almost every recording. If you have a chance, listen to the Company/Another Hundred People medley from Side By Side By Sondheim. It's excellent! It's hard to explain, but after working in NYC FT for awhile that music just encompasses that 'city' feeling.
