Pat O'Brien's with teenagers - allowed in piano bar area?

Since I can find a listing for a kids menu, I assume that children are allowed at Pat O'Brien's. But I have also read that the venue is strictly for ages 21 and up after 9:00 PM. Are there any other restrictions involving children in the restaurant?

We will be travelling with teenagers who might enjoy the piano bar. Would they be able to be in the piano bar area as long as it was prior to 9:00? Or are children only allowed in certain areas of the restaurant?

We've gone in before 9 and weren't asked to leave after 9. My kids are younger are 11 and under.
