Past discount rates on AP rooms for Jan?

I have a couple of questions. I booked a room for Dec. 31-Jan. 5 at rack rate for now.

I'm trying to figure out the savings IF AP rates come out and I can apply them. I think I am right in saying that NO AP rate is given for Dec. 31. However, though I have seen some say that Jan. 1 is a blackout date, the Mousesavers website indicates that check in the last two years began on Jan. 1 for AP discounts. Does anyone know from experience if they were able to use an AP discount on Jan. 1??

Also, what is the typical discount rate for Jan. the last two years?? Mousesavers doesn't tell the amount, just that there was a room only discount. Anyone know?? TIA!!

Sorry I don't have the last two years copied down, but I do have last year (2007).

I don't show an AP rate available for December 31, but do show one starting 1/1 - 2/13/08. The AP code was FHD, and it was good for dates between January 1 - February 13, 2008.

BTW it came out on October 31, 2007 for those dates in 2008.

Winter Passholder Discounts Released October 31, 2007

Annual Passholders rates are available for stays between January 1 - February 13, 2008. Value Season rates for select Value Resorts start at $49, Moderate Resorts start $99 and Deluxe Resorts start $175 per night, plus tax. Weekend rates are more. Ask for code FHD.

Thanks for that info! WOW! Those were some goooooood rates!! I am holding out hope that they will be that good this year and that they will hurry up and come out soon!

By the way, what was your source on the details of last year's AP rates? I'd love to add that website to my faves so I can refer to it ...if it was a website! THANKS again!

Sorry no website, just that last year I started keeping deal and Bounceback info notes when they were announced (when I remembered to do it)!
