passport query

Iam sorry to ask another passport question, but just to put my mind at rest.we are going to be at wdw in june 2004, my dd passport expires july 2005 how soon can you apply for a new passport. My dh and my passports last untill 2010,don't really want to go to london to get one visa.

You can apply for a new passport whenever you like but if it has more than 9 months to run on it you will still only get 9 months credit on the new one. Still it seems worthwhile to lose 6 months or so on your passport rather than have to go and get a visa - mine runs out in May 2005 and I am going to renew as soon as we're back from Florida in April.

No need for anyone to get a visa. Your passports are probably all machine readable, so they are valid for visa-free travel to the US til they expire.

By the time your DD's passport expires in 2005, the UK Passport office will probably be able to provide her with a biometric passport, so again no visa required.

To be safe, though, I'd get her a new passport BEFORE October (but not necessarily before you go to the US in June) just in case.
