:moped: Okay, since we've determined that Sunday morning is a better time to arrive at the Fort for our stay, can any of you recommend a nice, clean passport of america park nearby for one night? Maybe one in Ocala or closer? pixiedust: Thank you!

We usually stay at Ocalla Rv Camp Resort, Exit 350 off I 75. Its the same exit as Cracker Barrel Resturant. Its been there many years and was a old KOA. They are listed in Passport web site. 200 sites and most pull thru..

Thank you! I've looked at that one in the book, but I prefer to ask someone who's stayed there. I appreciate your quick response!;)

I'll also second what Becky said we have stayed there also, an overnight stay at Ocalla Rv Camp Resort is a good way to go. I think they have a website, not sure on that though, maybe google it and see.

My favorite site for getting reviews of campgrounds (otter than asking the good folks here) is RVParkReviews.com... here is what folks there have said about Ocala RV Camp Resort. They do have their own site too, but it is spelled Ocala (Ocalla might have made it hard to Google).

If your plan is to stop in Ocala, why not consider the Ocala National Forest instead? It's absolutely gorgeous and extremely well cared for. There are a number of different camping areas to choose from, ranging from extremely rustic to well developed. Nightly rates range from $6 for primitive camping (water available at a hand pump well and vault toilets) to $20 for full hookups (including sewer).

It's honestly one of my favorite places to camp. Check out Ocala National Forest Camping for more information.

:beach: Is the Ocala National Forest "Big Rig Friendly"? No overhanging tree branches or tight turns - and plenty of room for our toad and the kids' trailer with golf cart behind their motorhome? Sounds lovely!!! Do I have to reserve at the National Forest using Reserve America? :confused3

Also, Becky, I meant in my reply, "I prefer to ask someone who's stayed there" as in you! I meant that I preferred to ask someone like YOU who's stayed there. Thank you. :)

As always, I appreciate all the advice! :cool1: Couldn't do it as easily or with as much confidence without you!

Ocalla Rv Camp Resort is a good place to stay. I never stayed there yet but my friends already experience staying and they say that it's really good. We are planning to stay there if ever.

Have a nice day.:)
