OK..went on the passholder site to see if any new offers were up. The picture on the home page is advertising a 2009 contest. Seriously? Here I am looking for an update on packages and the homepage has not been updated since 2009?

Someone is seriously sleeping at their desk. :sad2:

Yea, that's one of my pet peeves. I don't know who runs the passholder site, but it's always out of date. As an AP holder for both Disney and Universal, I have to say that Universal does a much better job keeping their passholder website up to date. Heck, I know that the extra 10% and 20% purchase discount off for passholder was extended to the end of December 2011 this year (I just returned from WDW), but that info hasn't even found it's way onto the passholder website yet. I've always assumed that keeping the passholder website is at the bottom of Disney's priorities. There's nothing worse then returning home from a trip and finding out about a promotion for AP holders that you could've taken advantage of while there -- been there, done that.

Yes, simply put, it's laughable at best. I will say that they have made positive strides in site access recently. (Linking it with your email used to sign in at disney.com, etc )

I could sign in to NORAD's site easier than the AP site before this enhancement. ;)

Is it just me or is Disney taking a really long time to release the AP code beyond April? The general public code is good through April 16th while the gp code is good from April 28-June 14th and then August 14th through Sept. Guess they're doing it differently plus I'm waiting for April 30.

I KNOW!!! I've been checking so often for a May trip I'm starting to look worry about myself. I really thought Feb 17th would be the day, what with the earlier offer running out on the 16th. Siiiiiiiigh. I was wrong.

Me too! We need April 30th-May 8th. I went head and booked the GP code for that time, but was hoping for a little more off the room and want to add the DDP (without having to buy more of those one day park tickets we don't need). I remember when Disney used to always offer the AP discounts before they did the GP discounts, now it seems like the loyal AP holders only get the leftovers.

I was waiting as well. I had originally booked an AP package way back when. Then when the GP discount came out for our time period (May 8th - 17th) I booked room only with the discount.

If they come out I will try to apply the AP discount to my existing reservation, but sometimes they only discount more expensive room categories and I got the GP discount for a standard room at the WL so it may or may not be a big deal.

I have also decided not to do the DDP (after doing it every year prior). We are going to do the TIW card and after putting pen to paper we will save just over $200 and will be eating less CS. Works for me!

It's going to be a hard sell to get my DH to renew our AP's since discount wise we seem to be an afterthought. I know that the discounts are supposed to be gravy, but not when they are giving them to everyone else and NOT us or giving us the discounts after the GP ones.

Not having AP's would open the door for us to consider other destinations. Having the AP's made us want to try to go more, but we could only afford to do that with the discounts.

Yes, we could use the GP ones, but no one wants to feel like the last one picked for the team.

Meg Crofton are you listening, you should be...

Just my 2 cents! :)

I love my TIW card, I'd rather use that than the dining plan! :thumbsup2 I even figured one day when we were in Disney in January that it really wasn't that much more money to eat hamburgers at Beaches and Cream than in Epcot. ;)

I was waiting and waiting on AP discounts to come out for April 18-24th. I finially gave up and booked Bonnet Creek, first time staying there so I hope I won't be dissapointed. I've called several times and each time, The CM told me there prob wouldn't be any discount since it was Easter. To stay that week I was told I would most likely have to pay rack rate (yikes) and that now the QS dining plan has gone up as well to 39.99 per adult/night. The price was way beyond what I wanted to pay, so I found a great price of BC on ebay and booked. And we went 6 times last yr ALWAYS on property, but money is money! If I want to get 6 trips this yr, I gotta stay on budget.

As of about 10 minutes ago, Disney has not released AP rates beyond April 16. What are they waiting for? And what am I hearing about AP pins? :confused3
