Passes with longer expiration date

I may have the change of making a quick trip (for 2 days) to Disneyland this weekend and then a longer trip in December. I am wondering if there is a way to get passes that have a longer expiration date (not the normal 13 days from first use). My thoughts are we could get the 7 day passes and use them over the 2 trips if I can work things out.

Nope! You would have to get an annual pass, which will probably still be cost effective for you and you'll get discounts on food. You just need to make sure none of your dates fall on blackout days, but it will be cheaper than buying 2 sets of tickets. And there's no way to do it with one ticket like WDW!

You'd spend over $300 per adult to buy a 2 day and a 5 day hopper ticket for the 2 trips, and a Deluxe annual pass costs $239 so it may end up savign you money, especially with the dining discounts. If you go to the parks annually, just plan your next year's trip for before your pass expires and you are getting 2 years for less than the price of one!

Plus with the annual pass you get a discount on your food depending on the pass you get.

Unfortunately, the spur of the moment trip didn't work out, but thanks for the info about the Deluxe AP. I never considered that because I thought the blackout dates would be a problem. After looking at the calendar, I discovered these would work out well for us. We have done the premium passes in the past, but I haven't been able to talk DH into that this year

Anyway, new question for you pros...do you have to buy a one day pass if you plan to be there on a black out day for a deluxe AP or what can you do??

Yes, you can buy a blackout day ticket for $30 on any blackout day.
