Can I change my non hopper 6 day pass to a hopper pass after using it for a few days? Essentially on our last day, we want to hop to Hollywood Studios to watch Fantasmic.

Yes you can. But it's not that easy to tell you how much it will cost. That depends on when you purchased your ticket and from whom. Best case you're probably looking at $75 (park hopper is added for the entire length of your ticket not just the day you want it for). If you purchased the Canadian discounted tickets you could be looking at a lot more $$$.( ie. it may be cheaper to purchase a one day ticket than to upgrade on the last day)

If you know you are going to need to hop at some point during your trip then by all means add it on day 1. There is no advantage to waiting till the last day and you may be able to use it earlier in the week.

If you can provide a little more information about the original ticket purchase someone will chime in with recent upgrade experience.

As mentioned above the real question is exactly how much money they will get from you to do the upgrading .. if you're using tickets you obtained during any of the CDN discount promos you will lose that discount since you will need to bring the cost of the ticket you have in your hand up to the current cost of the same ticket BEFORE you can do the upgrade. If you're using a ticket that isn't discounted it's simply a matter of adding the extra cost.

To add hopping to your ticket will cost the same if you do it today, the day you get to Disney, before you enter a park, after you enter a park, first day you use your ticket or last day you use the ticket. If you think you'll want to hop even one day, go ahead and add that to your ticket at the beginning of your trip and take advantage of it the whole trip. We love to stop in EPCOT and pick up some pastries in France for breakfast the next day

It is probably the easiest to change your ticket to a park hopper by calling Disney and paying the difference now, while the Canadian Discount tickets are still on sale (until Feb. 10). After the promotion is over, you might have to forfeit your discount to upgrade... no one knows for sure how Disney will calculate the upgrade cost this year.

Ahhh....thanks everyone. It probably isn't worth it then. There are 4 of us and it just might exceed what I'm willing to spend. Will just need to rearrange things a bit is all. Thanks again!
